1. With the dawning of the Third Millenium, a bold decision was taken to engage the hardware retail business and a branch was set up in Section 25 in Shah Alam in 2001.

2. Our flagship hyper-store CSM Hardware City was set up as a One-Stop Hardware Hypermarket to cater to the needs of household DIY and professionals in the construction and industrial sectors.

3. The CSM Group began its involvement in the industrial service and hardware supply business as CSM Engineering Hardware (M) Sdn Bhd in Puchong in the 1990s.

4. This allows us to source, negotiate and purchase in bulk the broadest selection and range of products at the most competitive prices that we happily pass on to our customers.

5. A whole new range of products was added in 2007 and 2008 with the advent of the concept retail specialist centres.

6. It also enables us to offer optimal pack sizes and prices specifically customised for the needs of our household and corporate clients.

7. We were overwhelmed by the response and two years later, another branch was established in Section 27, Shah Alam.

8. CSM designed and executed a well-executed supply chain strategy which resulted in value creation and economies of scale.

9. This branch was further expanded to occupy more than 15,000 square feet of retail space.
