What is Wire Rewind? The Wire Rewind app is an augmented reality app that creates a special audiovisual cover for The Wire magazine's Rewind 2017 issue. It is a review of the last 12 months in underground sound and music, featuring releases of the year, reflections, and analyses of artists and critics. The app can be downloaded for free and used to explore the sound and additional visuals of the magazine cover.
1. The Wire Rewind app uses augmented reality to create a special audiovisual cover for The Wire magazine's Rewind 2017 issue (Issue 407, January 2018).
2. The Wire Rewind 2017 special audiovisual cover was designed by Ben Weaver Studio with sound by Patrick Ward.
3. The Wire Rewind 2017 (Issue 407, January 2018) is on sale from 7 December 2017.
4. Rewind 2017 is The Wire's review of the last 12 months in underground sound and music.
5. Then point your camera at the cover of the January issue of the magazine to explore the sound and additional visuals.
6. If you are a digital subscriber, we recommend that you print out the cover using your Exact Editions Wire app.
