Fun but not worth it to wade through the ads
By Johnny6 ;) (Pcmac user)
This app is an interesting hybrid of golf game and advertisement watching simulator. Unfortunately, the golfing portion of this app is much more interesting than the advertisement portion. This left my experience feeling lopsided and myself feeling a little bit confused. As we have seen for over a decade, Nitrome is a very capable studio and publisher, however this release baffles me as I can’t seem to find a single shred of their trademark charm in this strange romp through a combination of St Andrews and Times Square. Hopefully this design philosophy isn’t continued in their future titles.
Jokes aside, the golf genre is not nearly groundbreaking enough to warrant sitting through as many advertisements as the publishers of this game apparently believe is acceptable. Not only were the ads incessant, they frequently froze for upwards of 15 seconds leaving me even more time to contemplate the sad state of the mobile game industry. My experience could be summarized as watching a number in the top right corner of my screen begin to tick down from five, then stop, then start again, then stop again, and then finally reach zero so I could complete the next level and be immediately greeted with the same situation thirty seconds later. I would not recommend downloading this software.

Great game, but
By mas0n17 (Pcmac user)
This is a great game, but the ads are absolutely ridiculous. Never in my life have I seen an app with this many ads. Luckily most of ads I got could be skipped after 5 or 10 seconds, but even still I probably spent more time watching ads then actually playing the game. I mean I understand that you need to make money, but this was just completely overboard.
With that said, however, when I actually did get to play the game, it was quite enjoyable, and as such I endured through all the ads and ended up beating the whole game in only 1 or 2 sittings, leaving me wishing there were more levels. Hopefully in future updates some more levels will be added and maybe the number of ads could even be reduced (although perhaps that's just wishful thinking).

Amazing game, but....
By groujal (Pcmac user)
This is a truly wonderful game with very fun fundamental mechanics. You swipe backward with the distance equaling the power, and you aim with moving left or right. A lot of the times you have to line up shots. The only problem with this is that the size of the whole is WAY too small. I’m not saying this to complain about the difficulty, but other players will agree that when you see a shot from afar, it is a matter of one pixel increment of moving your finger left and right to make a shot, and it simply isn’t fun to have to constantly retry when you miss. I would be perfect with only 5 more pixels or something. Also, there are way too many ads, to the point that I don’t want to even play the game, it’s obnoxious. Otherwise, it’s really great.

Back to level selection button needed
By indieGamerX (Pcmac user)
Hi nitrome I have been a huge fan of your games for years
This game is definitely fun to play but what the hell the exit button is for??? Many of us simply want to select last level to replay or switch to another level yet we now have to go thru a totally unnecessary step which I’ve found very annoying. Also it would be great if we can see directly if we’ve met the par or not on the level selection page.
