Don’t trust with credit card info
By JumpOutTheFace0191 (Pcmac user)
So I enjoyed the app for the first week I used it; many of the scooters had malfunctions and I had a couple small transactional issues but overall it was worth the fun and connivence. Then yesterday I got a notification letting me know that I completed a ride for several hundred minutes and racked up about 50$ worth of charges. Not had I not completed a ride, but I also hadn’t used a scooter in several days. When I called customer support because I felt my issue was immediate, the customer service person was from a call center not affiliated with the app and told me the best he could do was report the issue to the app like I had already done. I’m not sure what the purpose of the number was but when a the app rep finally got back to me via email they told me it was a ‘glitch’ and they’d refund my money in 2-5 days. I failed to eat any sort of compensation despite the fact that I received overdraft fees because of the ridiculous amount I was charged for something I literally didn’t do. It’s clear to me their application is too prone to glitches to be trusted with confidential payment information & their customer service on several levels made me feel as if my issue was trivial and not worth compensating. Overall it’s a buggy product that I don’t think is worth the risk of potential loss of money and time. If someone from the app wants to help me out that’s dope but otherwise I would say cop a lime or bird.

Skip does not pay rangers/chargers on time!
By Deaf facebooker (Pcmac user)
I have been working for the app as a charger or ranger whatever they say for the past 4 months. I have never experienced terrible support for rangers who we go out there in the cold, rain, snow late at night and early in the morning. The biggest issue is about being paid on time or not getting PAID AT ALL. I regularly pick up 20-30 skips a day. That’s $160-$240 worth per day that I charge and dropped. They would only pay me once out of 5 days! I’ll have to wait 48 hours for them to investigate and properly pay me. That leaves me at the end of not making payments for bills I owe. It’s a terrible application if you are looking to earn money with the app - they will under pay and under appreciate your hard work. I always have to screen shot everything from all the skips I picked up to the time that I do not have any skips in possession. If you are looking for work similar to charging - work with bird or line they never had any issues for paying me on time.

Don’t trust Skip with your credit card!!!
By Clairedanziger (Pcmac user)
I know other reviews have already said this, but the app ripped me off and stressed me out so much, it wasn’t worth the novelty of an electric scooter ride. They first tried to charge me $25 extra yesterday because it said I was “out of bounds”...I was in the middle of SF and at the time they had rolled out no map indicating what the boundaries might be. I called in to get the fee taken away and, considering that I had scootered around for 20 minutes trying to find an in bounds location, I asked if I could get some money back from my ride. They said yes but instead of getting rid of any charges they DOUBLED THEM! Worst company ever, it’s just not worth it to go for a ride and deal with all this stress.
Edit: while they didn’t end up actually charging me the $25 they did charge me triple “activation fees” and double the base ride fare (all for one ride). After repeatedly contacting customer service they did refund me. Still don’t think it’s worth it to go for a ride.

Rarely works

Tbh, the the app scorers are my favorite. I feel they go faster than the other two DC scooter companies, but that’s probably because this app are usually pretty jacked up and damaged looking.
The app is pretty garbage; scooters always have unlocking issues or are dead on battery. Why have them appear on the all of the battery is too low to ride?
Please also add a ride history feature; i expense my commute and scooting is a lot more fun than a Lyft and would like to make doing my expense report as easy as Lyft does.
