What is Minesweeper Classic?

Minesweeper Classic: Retro is a free game app that offers a classic Minesweeper experience with retro graphics. The game has five different modes to choose from, including Easy, Medium, Hard, Extreme, and Custom. The app also offers more than 50 gorgeous retro themes that can be unlocked by earning coins. The game also has a Guess-free Mode (Beta) that allows players to play guess-free boards to eliminate 50/50 situations. The app has tons of settings that can be customized, including zoom sensitivity, functionality of the New Game button, and top bar customization. The game also has stats that keep track of high scores, win percentage, and total playtime.

Game Features and Description

1. Also make sure that iCloud Drive is enabled in your iCloud settings on your device otherwise your themes and stats will not be saved.

2. Play Minesweeper with its all retro classic graphics! Customize your game with tons of settings and make the game your own.

3. • You can save your themes and stats with iCloud and restore them later if you happen to switch to a different device.

4. • Question marks: (Disabled by default) Press on a flag to turn it into a question mark.

5. • 50+ gorgeous retro themes: Unlock these themes by earning coins.

6. • Hints: Are you stuck? Press the hint button to highlight the area you should focus on.

7. • Flags: Press and hold on a cell to deploy a flag.

8. • Tons of Settings: Customize your game with tons of settings.

9. • Tap number: Press on an open cell to reveal the cells surrounding it.

10. Earn coins and unlock gorgeous themes.

11. Press and hold again to remove the flag.

Great app and great design

I was super impressed with this the app app. Most the app apps don’t have great iPhone implementation, but this one almost makes it seem like the app was made for iPhones. It has zoom, but a quick way to get back to full screen. Difficulty, dimension, and menu customization (not to mention more advanced customization) and different themes. I also love the coin system, they are not too hard to get but it saves you in the rare event you meant to flag a tile but tapped it instead. The ads aren’t intrusive like other the app apps and they didn’t bother me too much, but even so, I liked this app so much that I bought the ad removal anyway to support the developer. Streamlined and simple with great functionality. Love it!

I tried 3-4 different the app apps and this one is the one you want. Simple design with all the features you want, it does not burn through your battery and the adds only appear between games or as an option to continue a game where you clicked a mine. If you are trying to decide which the app game to get put pf the 12 or more on the app store, this is the one you want.
Love the game but needs updates.

Game is great, it’s great you can continue if you want. Improvements needed: the the new iPhones , the edges aren’t sensitive or too sensitive so it is difficult to select squares on the outer edges. It gets annoying. Secondly there needs to be some kind of upgrade to make this adfree. The ads are just tolerable, but sometimes they are..intolerable. Would love a version to upgrade to get rid of them. Bottom line this is the best the app app that I have found but please do some updates.

I just recently got into the app and my mom played it on our old windows 95 computer. The light gray, 90s look, is great and I like that there are other color options (they’re alright I guess) but t does its job. It’s a fun the app game that rewards you with coins and that’s about it. That’s what I was looking for. A simple the app game. So if you’re looking for something with a little more value, look elsewhere😊😊
