  • This is not a browser night mode

    By JD_Spurs (Pcmac user)

OK, So it should be pretty apparent by the images but i downloaded it and tried it just to confirm my suspicions. This does nothing to the look of your browser. At all. It does however utilize what I would imagine is some CSS trickery to change the design of the webpage you’re looking at and darken the colors of the website. I guess this would be better described as a webpage night-mode simulator, as it simulates a night mode for the individual site. In my book, a browser night mode doesn’t change the website at all, but changes the browser; ie the grey at the top, the tabs bar, the favorite menu, the bookmarks drawer… all the pieces that are part of the browser running locally, not any of the content it has requested. I can see how some people might want this, but this is definitely NOT a browser dark mode.
  • It works!

    By ChloStall (Pcmac user)

So at first I thought this extension was broken, because when you open the app anc click “Enable Extension” the extension doesnt appear right away in safari. To get it to appear you have to COMPLETELY CLOSE OUT OF SAFARI. (double click on safari and hit “quit”). Then open the this app app and hit “Enable Extension” and safari will re open and Ta-Da! the extension has appeared ready to go! super simple
  • Great Extension

    By Rambo8649 (Pcmac user)

Great extension for Safari, very well thought out. It has worked flawlessly so far, and it has a ton of customization options. To those who are going to install, make sure to quit and relaunch Safari after you install.
  • Simple but invasive permission

    By simplyvincent (Pcmac user)

Simple extension. Loved similar or same app in the past but looking at the permissions DOES NOT make me feel safe. I uninstalled after going to Safari > Preferences > Extensions and seeing this: Permissions for "this app": Webpage Contents Can read senstivie information from webpages, including passwords, phone numbers, and credit cards on: • all webpages Browsing History Can see when you visit: • all webpages
