Login Fail

10/30 Update: I went from getting push notifications all day long to nothing at all. Not a one. I prefer being notified all day long than not at all for security reasons, especially at the app and when no one is home. I don't know what happened. Feels like the developers were trying to fix something that wasn't broken and now can’t fix what they broke. Shame because I really love the quality and features of the cameras. If only the app would follow suit. 2 stars for the camera. 0 stars for this app. ***************************************** Aside from setting the sensitivity to the lowest setting I get notifications all day long when the leaves on the tree blow with the wind...annoying but at least I know it works. Tonight, for some apparent reason, I stopped getting push notifications and I only noticed because I heard a slew of cars driving by and found it weird that my notifications weren’t going off. Appears I wasnt logged in so I tried logging in. Nope. Login failed. Reset a dozen times. Login failed a dozen times. Must be an issue with the app? No idea but not being able to check my cameras is not providing me a secure feeling. Hope it gets corrected sooner than later. Annoying.
Love the cameras, not the app

The Cameras are great. Clear picture and decent sound. The app is terrible. If I get an alert and then try to view it live, it stays frozen for about 30 seconds. This defeats the purpose of “live” viewing. And then if I attempt to play back the recorded movement, it never pulls up. Just spins thinking about it. Doesn’t make this system very good for keeping an eye on your house. And no, it’s not my WiFi. I have very fast WiFi with a high dollar router. And the lack of features on the app is sad. I had a cameras system about five years ago that was half the cost and it allowed me to view all cameras at once, and I never had the issue of it freezing or not performing playback. There needs to be a big upgrade to this app and soon. I see talk of it, but that’s all...just talk.
Cameras good; app bad!

The cameras work well and picture quality is good. There are lots of settings to allow you to personalize your cameras. It’s great to be able to access and view your live feed remotely, however sometimes the live feed glitches and the playback feature NEVER works! I can play a clip for 5-10 seconds and then it will freeze EVERY TIME! Lots of other people seem to have the same issue. It’s so frustrating that the only response the app Owl has is “try a better internet connection”. My internet connection is good, how about you try fixing your app! It would be great to have more and better options like being able to speed up playback, skip through playback, and to be able to view motion detection clips. I receive motion detection notifications, but absolutely no motion detection clips appear in the app. I hope the app Owl invests in app development...I think it could be a really great product, but unfortunately, as it stands right now the app is almost totally useless.
Entry-level software with many bugs

Latest update seems to push the app further towards 1 star. In addition to losing notifications again the new app won't play back recorded motion. Live video is fine and audio but it endlessly spins trying to playback anything on the timeline. Restarted app and logged out and in with no change. Also, really, the calendar view for playback says "Octorber". Representative of the rest of the coding I'm afraid. You get what you pay for. About every week I have to completely setup from scratch uninstall/reinstall to make it work again. Time consuming. Minus points for being cloud-based only. The product needs to allow masking areas so motion sensing is ignored like many other systems. All day long I get alerts because the camera has a wide view. Constant push notifications. A magnolia leaf moves or the pine tree branch moves in the wind and I get notified. Setting it to low sensitivity doesn't help. There are no animals or people in the view. So the PIR sensor is not enough to reduce false positives. The ability to mask out areas where branches move in the wind is needed. My model doorbell has the SD card. There is no provision to FTP, E-mail, etc. a snapshot out. So if someone rips the whole doorbell off or breaks the plastic cover and takes the SD card there is no record of what happened.
