It’s pretty thorough

But... the ads become longer and longer the further through the tests you get. Gets pretty annoying by the end. Also it’s not clear which tests you have passed and which you still need to do. It indicated my phone had passed all the tests, but as I looked down through the tests I realized there were several tests I had not performed yet. Finally, the ambient light sensor test is really superficial. What you really want to know is whether or not the phone can successfully dim the screen as ambient light intensity decreases and vice versa. All it does is presumably check to see that the input from the sensor decreases when you place your hand over it. Regarding the back camera test, I’d like to know how the person running the test would know when their face is fully framed when they have the screen turned around backwards so they can’t see it. That’s a two-person test to be sure. The instructions for the compass test need to be clearer. While the animation shows how the test should be performed, the text of the instructions doesn’t explain you must first place the phone down on a flat surface, screen side up, and then flip it over, screen side down. So the people who are having trouble with that test are probably doing so because they are reading your instructions :-). Still, for free, it’s a pretty good app and quite thorough.

This app came highly recommended by Kim Komando and most of the users of it, so I installed it. When I opened it, I agreed to allow the thing to access my location when the app was running and to send me push notifications, then I watched a screen that had the app name and a little processing wheel go round and round and round and round and round... and round some more, but nothing else happened. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, same thing. I tried clearing memory, same thing. I tried clearing memory and turning off the phone for several minutes before trying again. Same thing. Finally I decided to quit wasting my time, uninstalled it, and wrote this review. I have a relatively new iPhone 8 and am using only 26 GB of the 64 GB of storage, and the App Store told me that this app would run on my phone, but it hasn't. I welcome any suggestions from the developer.
Amazing App!!! A Must Have

Love this app! I’ve never found an app that does everything this app does. It works perfectly and does everything exactly like it says it does. Great app to have and to use if you are selling or buying a phone or even just to check your own phones functions and hardware. A must have app to have. The only thing I’d like to have other than what it has already is a Battery Check and iCloud Unlock.
