Software Features and Description

1. Both your phone and other phones that are registered on your MMGuardian account must have a mobile data capability, as the application uses mobile data for commands, alerts and reports.

2. Note: The specific functions available to be managed and monitored by this app will depend on the type of child phones registered on your MMGuardian account.

3. - If auto-renew is not turned off, your account will be charged for the renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current paid for monthly or annual period.

4. - You will be subscribing to access the MMGuardian Parental Control services to gain full functionality for the child device app(s) registered to your account.

5. This is the application for a parent's iPhone and enables you to manage your MMGuardian account directly from your own iPhone, rather than logging into the secure web portal from a computer.

6. - The subscription will automatically renew each month or year, unless auto-renew of the subscription is turned off at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

7. Once installed, log in to this Parent App using the same admin email and password that you used when setting up your MMGuardian account.

8. - You may manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renew for purchased subscriptions from your iTunes Account Settings.

9. - The subscription is on a monthly or annual basis, at a cost of $3.99 per month or $34.99 per year.

10. - Any unused portion of the free trial period is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.

11. Family plans are also available.

Easy to use for a not tech smart parent

This app has been great for my peace of mind. It has allowed me to give my 12 yr old a smartphone without having to worry. From my parent app I can add/remove time limits, web filters, data usage, text key word alerts monitoring, read every text if I want to, control what apps on the phone I want him using/not using and when, and lock/unlock the phone. You can also track the phone. It has filter ratings to make setting this easy or advanced for those parents wanting to fine tune the web browser. If the child is blocked by the app from something they can send a permission request to your parent app for you to review and decide if you want to allow. Permission or any changes to both parent and child app is password protected. I am not tech smart and my son is. I love this app because it is easy for me to understand and use and my son can not get past it. He can not remove the app from his phone without the parent password. Also, customer support is great! They respond quickly, are very helpful, and are patient with people like me that struggle with using tech stuff.

The app itself seems ok and works so so. The issue is the difference between using the parent side or child side. First the price is different depending which one you are using. One is $1.99 a month and other is $3.99 a month. I don’t understand that? Second the options are different based on if you are clicked on your line or their in the upper right corner. It is confusing to a point. Last DO NOT CLICK BLOCK if your number is selected in the parent app in the right corner. I have hundreds of apps and it blocked me, the admin from all of them. No idea how or why this is even a possibility since I was on the Admin side but it did. It locked me out of my phone completely from everything I downloaded. I was able to use the child’s phone switch to adult and clear the time. Otherwise I’d have had to wait until it ran out. Once my apps were back all of the folders were gone. I’ve got 20 flipping pages of apps all mixed. I can’t recommend this app because of that alone. That’s horrible.

Highly recommend NOT using this App. I’ve sent 9 emails to customer support since 6 pm yesterday (it’s 6 pm the next day)about trying to unblock and remove this app from my child’s phone which is preventing even Parent access and received 1 reply at 1:40 pm saying ‘sorry’ and suggesting it had been corrected. It didn’t work and I immediately replied at 1:41 pm to please stay connected to help resolve this and they just disappeared and have not replied to the next 6 requests for help. Awful customer service and they have complete control of blocking you from using the child’s phone - and with such critical control you’d think active attentive customer service would be a given. I plan on updating this review each day that this company ignores resolving my issue. I’d think twice before granting this company any control over your child’s phone.
Great...Until you pay the membership!!

This app worked great for the free trial, hence the one star. Once we committed and paid for the membership it stopped working well. The lock schedule doesn’t work properly. Many times my kids are on the phone when it’s supposed to be locked. Even when it’s locked they can see all of the notifications and texts coming through. They just can’t respond. This causes a lot of distraction during school. Many times when I’m checking their activity the report won’t load so I can’t look into what they’re spending their time on. When I block certain apps or the ability to download new apps those features don’t work. They can still download apps and use blocked apps. I will not renew nor recommend this app to anyone ever again. Such a waste of our money.
