1. Dinner Buddy helps you to plan your meals in advance, store and rate your recipes, search the web to view & save recipes, auto-generate a shopping list based on your planned meals, share recipes with friends and send weekly menu or shopping list to others.

2. Shopping list function generates a list based on your selected meals and allows you to tick off ingredients you already have at home and tick off as you shop.

3. Once you have saved your regular meals as recipes you will be able to randomly generate a weekly menu, or browse the web and your stored meals for inspiration.

4. Web search function allows you to search and save recipes from a number of well known websites including All Recipes, BBC, Food.com and Jamie Oliver.

This app has potential and I use it a lot

I really like this app and have used it every week since downloading. There are definitely ways it can be improved but the basic concept is great. I love having the recipe items put in a weekly list so it's easy to see what I will need for the week. It would be much easier to use if you could port recipes in from other sites. I have accidentally erased my weekly menu a few times so I wish you could change the day you start without having to erase the whole week. Lately I ran into a bug where the recipes aren't adding to the menu. Hopefully that gets fixed soon or I can't use the app.
Frustrating

The reason I looked for an app for a weekly menu was to help with productivity. I didn’t even get to try it out and create a menu because every time I click on something to create a menu a 5 second add pops up completely covering your entire screen. I don’t have patience for such invasive advertising. I don’t mind a banner add if it doesn’t cover the function of the app but when you have to stop and wait for an add to let you click it off it defeats the purpose of an app to help with organizing or productivity. Really sick of these types of apps/advertising. I would pay for a good app but can’t really tell if it’s any good when I can’t even try it! Deleting this app!

Love this app... I use this every week to generate the family menu. I don't actually use the ingredients/shopping list function but have entered all of our standard dishes into it. Love that I can send a snap shot of the menu board to everyone so they know the plan. Only request would be to be able to sort my recipe list alphabetically. It seems to be based on when it was entered into the list.
Would like to save my week’s menu

I enjoy this program, as I can plan the week on my phone. Instead of erasing my menu each week, I wish I could save the week’s menu so I can pull the week back up for inspiration for a following week.
