2. The app has a large database of camera sensors details and film formats but if the format you desire isn’t there you can add your own custom format.

3. Viewfinder Preview is an iPhone app for previewing camera framing for any combination of camera and lens.

4. If you don’t have your big camera with you, Viewfinder Preview is still great for photo sketching, location scouting or story boarding.

5. If you are happy with the framing then you can get the big camera out.

6. - Customisable menus so you can include the film/sensor formats and focal lengths you care about.

7. The app is targeted at stills photographers or film makers working in either film or digital.

Download and install the Viewfinder Preview app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:

Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Viewfinder Preview"
The search will reveal the Viewfinder Preview app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Viewfinder Preview is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Viewfinder Preview.

Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

Important app for large format

Simply a fantastic app!! Getting a bit on in years so I love the fact that I can frame my shots without shlepping my full kit. The histogram is an added bonus as is the exposure info. In addition, App offers extensive B&W emulation. Super app for the large format photographer

I absolutely love this app. It instantly became an integral part of my large format tool kit! The only thing that is keeping me from giving it 5 stars is it seems to eat up my iPhone 7+ battery incredibly fast. I just need to make sure to carry external battery with me if I’m out shooting. Make sure to close the app when not using because it will drain your battery, at least it does on my 7+. Even with the battery issue, I still highly recommend this app. Fix the battery issue and this is a perfect app! Great work Adam!

Wonderful app, totally worth the price. One feature request: show the focusing distance used for the preview. The rangefinder on my 4x5 camera is broken and I’d love to use the app to find focus distance.
