1. The MotorCo VR Guide to the Tour de France is a VR and location based guide to the cycling race starting in France in July of 2019.

2. The Tour de France is an annual multiple stage bicycle race primarily held in France, while also occasionally making passes through nearby countries.

3. The Tour is a UCI World Tour event, which means that the teams that compete in the race are mostly UCI WorldTeams, with the exception of the teams that the organizers invite.

4. As the Tour gained prominence and popularity the race was lengthened and its reach began to extend around the globe.

5. Each stage or location comes with a description of the stage, a live Map giving the user directions directly to the stage point of interest as well as a virtual simulation of the area.

7. Participation expanded from a primarily French field, as riders from all over the world began to participate in the race each year.

8. The race was first organized in 1903 to increase paper sales for the magazine L'Auto; it is currently run by the Amaury Sport Organization.

9. The race has been held annually since its first edition in 1903 except when it was stopped for the two World Wars.

10. The tour starts in Brussels on July 6 and ends in Paris on July 28th, and there are 21 stages in all.
