Download and install Joyride: play live game shows on your Laptop or Desktop computer

If you want to install and use the Joyride: play live game shows app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Joyride: play live game shows in the search bar and press Search. Click on Joyride: play live game showsapplication icon. A window of Joyride: play live game shows on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use Joyride: play live game shows for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

  • Bot 5 star reviews, horrible game

    by Someone who got banned
First I downloaded this app thinking I could just play trivia but nope. I found out I have to pay for “keys” to enter a trivia game, I don’t want to win anything, was just looking for a boredom game, not even worth spending time on, the trivia hosts are horrible with the pronunciation on peoples names and some songs. Second I asked my friends about this and found out that they bought a membership and played some games and wound up winning about 30 to 40 dollars then before he cashed it the developers banned his account. What they are doing is a giant scam, do not fall for it, you will be cheated out of hard earned money and receive nothing in return, the responses I’ve seen to every person that’s been banned was that their team found someone that violated the terms of service or cheated. Third, when you enter a match you only have 10 seconds the choose which isn’t anywhere close to the amount of time needed to recognize a song. Overall this app is nothing but a clever scam to steal people’s money but if you are fine with losing 20 dollars on a subscription then I recommend this to you. Good luck, will definitely advise against this app, there is much much better trivia games out there where you don’t have to pay anything to play lol.
  • Favoritism at it worst

This app is honestly a suicide waiting to happen! This app used to make me happy and gave me something fun to look forward to, because I haven’t been feeling great (I had major surgery and a broken bone within a two month period) then the app decided to make certain users paid partners. One of these partners breaks rules in regular games, including bullying me (to which her subscribers joined in) the main moderator will refer to her as sis and familia and just allows her to do whatever she wants! When I’ve defended myself I got muted, when I’ve pointed out the bias I got muted. I was unmuted, only to go in the other day to a message saying I was muted again (I hadn’t even been in the app since the previous day) they still have me muted and have given me no reason as to why. Now they have a new feature where people can go into user hosted games and tell them what you really think about them (which seems like an invitation for cyber bullying) I’m not sure why this would be necessary on a trivia app let alone any app. I really think this game should be shut down. If you’re not gonna hold every user to the same rules, then why have rules at all? And why encourage people to go after one another?

The idea is fun but I can’t help but feel cheated all the time. First of all, you get 10 seconds which is fine but the song doesn’t even start til you’re 6 seconds in. Second, there is minor lagging but it comes at the most inconvenient times, like during my 10 seconds or just always during the live. Third, (only my opinion) Juliano is the only great host, the others are awkward in their own ways. And fourth, (this isn’t a big deal, it just wasn’t expected) during the countdown before a live there are a number of people, but almost instantly when a game starts the number triples. I understand the app sends out notifications to people before a game but it’s usually like a minute and a half out or so, the count goes from 100 people to 350 people soon as the timer hits one. It only bothered me because of course the winnings would be lower but the app is fun so no problem. And not everybody in the live actually plays the game. It just feels like the app is making that number higher so they won’t have to pay out high winnings.
  • Good to you, until they arbitrarily decide not to be

    by Yellow Hornet
I had been playing Joyride since July 2018, and for about 11 months, I had a fun time with the app and recommended it to many friends. The variety of games and social aspects were unmatched by any other app or game that I encountered before. During that time, I had watched the growth and evolution of the app, and I was quite excited for all the innovations to come. I supported them via buying monthly subscriptions and key packs. Without notice, 11 months in, they suspended my account, and have not provided me with any insight to this arbitrary decision. Their customer service is generally great and top-notch—until they decide to suspend you. They provided a boilerplate list of reasons as to why I could have been suspended (some of which they’ve responded to others with in these reviews), but I have not engaged in ANY sort of the behavior they listed, nor have they provided any avenue for an appeal of the decision. It is completely arbitrary when they decide to “cut you off”. I can only recommend this app with the caveat that your own personal joyride may come to a halt at their whimsy, with absolutely no recourse.
  • Awful and disappointed

    by the1sand2s
I’ve had this game for some time now. I encountered a problem early on, and sent an email. It was resolved within a day and I was very excited at the service. Flash forward... Awful Awful Awful ! For some unknown reason I was blocked from hosting and chatting. I’m 33 and do not curse or say anything bad. I like to say hello to the host in the chat and that’s it. When I host, I don’t say any answers, but tell the answers to choice from. I’ve emailed several times over the last couple of weeks to no avail. I’ve meet some really cool people from all over, but can’t even chat with them anymore. Really disappointed in how this app used to be the best app ever, to the worst. Also it only cost 6.99 for a weekly membership. I’ve done all updates, several times, but for some reason my weekly membership is 9.99. I’ve been banned for no reason whatsoever, and it’s truly disappointing.
  • Not worth it

    by Andie1223
I've been playing these games for o we a month now and the game constantly glitches or buffers. The moderators tell you to connect to your WiFi or make sure your connected to LTE all the time when it's problems on their end. Sometimes the host doesn't draw fast enough causing people to lose out on keys or cash. There have been games that I have used keys on because the host was too slow drawing and I was still locked out of the game. I just came out of another drazzel game where the picture kept on going in a out and the other players were complaining as well just to be knocked out in the last round. The same thing happened the other day when players were complaining that the host was drawing too slow and the game locked everyone out except for one player who ended up winning the whole $250 pot. They should have been fair and restarted the game. I used a key to get back into the game but it took my key and did not allow me to play. I have emailed customer service and the email keeps on bouncing back. I usually don't write negative reviews but this is a joke of an app and I'm highly dissatisfied.
  • Scam, will ban you when you cashout

    by AppStoreUser10
Joyride used to be great but it’s become far more about protecting their bottom line now. Prizes continue to plummet and the number of games per day continues to decrease. What used to be $5,000, $2,500, and $1,000 games are mostly down to $250 now. Many games also cost keys to play so you might actually lose a bunch of money versus make any these days. They also seem to enjoy banning players once you cash out to avoid having to pay, or simply to play favorites because they can. Even if you write them, you just get a canned email listing all of the reasons they could have banned you for, but then they refuse to explain what’s going on. It seems very crooked to me and not worth your time. If you don’t believe me, plenty of other reviews talk about having the same negative experience. Joyride used to be a fun game but at this point, it’s past its prime and only getting worse. Unless they are going to stop with this crap, it’ll continue to decline and probably close down eventually. I doubt anything will change though given the egos of their moderation team.
  • Bad first impression

    by Feds39
Technical issues during the free orientation game, first song didn't play for a large portion of the people playing so I got knocked out right away didn't care about using a key to continue you only get 2 and the games require 3 to join so I wasn't going to waste a key in order to continue playing on that trainwreck. If you really like pop and rap this is the game for you with the exception of one bonus round song that was rock it only used pop or rap artist. How much you earn from winning will not pay for the subscription you need to earn $10($25 if you don't have a subscription) before you can cash out but subscription cost 6.99 per week for 14 keys you can only play 4 games with them since games require 3 to join, so unless you win all your games and earn a minimum of 1.75 per game just to make up what the subscription cost you'll be losing money you still need to earn $3 to meet the 10 minimum to cash out so you really need to win $2.50 in the 4 games you can join with the 14 keys you get from the subscription.
  • OMG The variety!!

    by Game Varietyyyy
I enjoy JoyRide! The variety in game shows is spectacular in comparison to other live game shows on the phone. You use keys in order to play a game, but you can easily win some if you answer correctly on “Key Questions.” There are some free games & games that are required of at least 8 friends in order to enter. I’ve won a decent amount on here, but not enough to cash out yet lol. I’ve never had any real issues with JoyRide. The only issue I had was when my phone died in the middle of a game that I paid 4 keys to enter. I emailed them for a refund and they did just that! If you don’t see a game theme that interests you, you are able to request themes which makes it even more fun and personable. The hosts are fun too! They interact with the game players and all. This is the only game show I’ve kept on my phone and I don’t think I’ll be deleting it any time soon 😌
  • Amazing Idea : Needs a little work

    by lennonramsey
This game is a lot of fun. I love the concept and the themes for the games are a lot of fun. But... the lack of professionalism by one of the hosts throws the entire thing off. I just played a 6 question game that took like 20 mins. The host was more concerned with responding verbally to thirst comments than with reading the answer options. For this game, they play a scene and then you select the correct answer between three film titles. After the answer, they reveal the correct answer and then have cool fun facts about the film. This host was singing and rapping instead of bothering with the correct answer and fun fact. I’m not trying to be a wet blanket, obviously you want your hosts to be engaging and have a good time and interact with players. I love that vibe they are going for. But come on. The guy mispronounces everything because he’s too busy entertaining the comments and less time on the content of the app. It makes the whole game look tacky. He left the screen during a scene... entered again with a backpack from a coworker, was making jokes about the backpack and playing with it... all while we were supposed to be watching a scene and playing a game. Super distracting. My advice to the developers/owners : You’re located in SoCal. Find another actor to replace this host. Cause I’m someone who would spend money on this app... but won’t bother if I have to sit through another game with that host.
