- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Histology Lite on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Histology Lite"

Filling a gap in higher med ed

Many students are still far too often left to fend for themselves in medical curriculum with subpar resources. This is especially visible in courses where students have to interpret novel data ambiguous to novice learners, usually in the form of anatomical structures, radiological images, etc.
This app bridges that gap for the app. It is unique in that it gives us immediate feedback, directly on the histological image itself. We don't have to read a paragraph that's referenced at a remote location and wonder if we're interpreting someone's prose correctly in the image. Short of an actual living breathing instructor next to you, this is the next best thing.
App is simple to use, and is one of these most high yield resources that was not only essential in my first learning as an M1, but high yield review for Step 1, basic science research, and upper level pathology rotations.

Must Have for Histology

This is a must have resource for learning and understanding the app. I ended up getting the full version and have no regrets. This study aid led to my success in my the app course and I know it will do the same for anyone else. It's very easy to use and a great way to test your knowledge and understanding of the subject matter. I would use this to study during bus rides, in between classes, and even before bed. The high quality images of histological slides show more than enough detail needed to identify and characterize the relevant the app. You also get questions that make you think critically about the function and physiology of the histological area that you are studying. I would not go through the app without this app. 10/10, would recommend!

The SecondLook the app is an excellent review tool for students to review the the app materials and prepare for their practical exam. It also can serve as a quick review tool for senior year medical students who need to review the app material before going to the residency. The SecondLook the app is easy and convenient to use in many environments and has comprehensive information, which combines identifying the cells, structures, tissue and organs, and related functions. In some cases, it has microscopic images side by side with illustrations, these will enhance understanding the materials. In general, the labels, questions and answers are clear and accurate. It highlighted critical information of the app without feeling overwhelmed for students. Clinically related questions can be added to the SecondLook the app.

Excellent Histology Review App

This Lite version is an excellent sample of the complete the app app. Both apps are full of high quality histological images with questions that will challenge any the app learner. These questions not only will test your knowledge of facts, but also your ability to recognize cells, organs and tissues. It only takes a few minutes to find out whether a the app learner is prepared for the next the app exam or what he still needs to study more. As a the app instructor I highly recommend this app to my students.
