What is App Image Kit?

App Icon & Splash Kit is an app that allows users to batch create app icons, launch images, Xcode image assets, and app screenshots. It has built-in size-templates for multiple platforms, and users can also customize their own templates and sizes. The app supports rounded corners, background color, resize mode, masks, scale/offset/rotation, and can create Contents.json. It also supports previewing icons and splashes for different sizes before export, cloning templates, and copying/pasting sizes. The Splash Screen Kit ensures that there is no deformation when exporting launch images.

Demands that input splash screens be squre?

I’ve got a correctly proportioned splash screen image. However, this the app refuses to resize it as it expects the input splashscreens to be square rather than the correct rectangular aspect ratio. Don’t believe me that this strange requirement exists? I have copied and attached below the help text for splash screen that explicitly asks for square splash screens. "Splash screens come in all sorts of sizes and because they're not squarish, we need to crop. For this to work, you should select a 2048x2048 (or 4096x4096) PNG where the logo or other important artwork is placed within the center 1000x1000 (or 2000x2000) pixels (safe area) or so. For iOS, recommend to provide 4096x4096 image with 2000x2000 safe area or 3072x3072 image with 1500x1500 safe area."

I recently got into coding applications and this the app has saved me a lot of time when it comes to creating the different sizes for the icon and other assets. I would recommend if you want to save time or if you dont quiet know how to resize everything.
