Anza-Borrego Wildflower Guide for Pc

1. This is a guide to the basics of identifying over 1100 wildflowers in the Anza-Borrego Desert*, Cuyamaca Rancho, Imperial Sand Dunes (Algodones Dunes), Laguna Mountain, Warner Springs and surrounding area.

2. If in doubt post it on iNaturalist.org and join our project Flora of Anza-Borrego State Park and adjacent desert.

3. This is an advanced guide with descriptions, keys, scientific names and families for close to 1000 wildflowers.

4. *The Anza-Borrego Desert is part of the Colorado Desert, that is a subdivision of the larger Sonoran Desert.

5. What will this guide do for you? Our hope is that our guide will help you identify the wildflowers you see, by genera if not by species.

6. Rainfall and temperatures vary from year to year and from place to place within the desert.

7. Remember that the Anza-Borrego Desert region ranges from well below 1,000 feet to over 5,000 feet.
