Software Features and Description

1. With its built-in checklist, Drone Director automatically checks information like weather, wind, updates, battery level/status, SD-card, compass, home point, and no-fly zones to ensure everything works correctly when you are flying.

2. We fly, and you film! Thanks to the automatic flight mode, the drone follows your guidelines, so that you can focus entirely on filming.

3. Drone Director can also control your camera so that you can concentrate on flying.

4. Using these flight modes makes flying incredibly easy, because forward is no longer pending from the drone.

5. You want to film with your drone at a professional level, but you lack a pilot? With Drone Director you can change this.

6. Select a target, and the camera remains aligned continuously to this point during the flight.

7. Create flight routes, which the drone can follow and explore the area.

8. Tripod will reduce the stick sensitivity for smoother control of your drone (Mavic Pro only).

9. A great way to ensure you have all the necessary information and gear for flying your drone safely.

10. During the climb, the drone rotates independently around the camera's longitudinal axis.

11. Select your target on a map, or set the orbit center in seconds by merely looking (with the camera) at the point of interest.

I was maybe expecting to use the copilot thing across all platforms but no. And all together it is not that good and I want my money back.
  • Not at all intuitive. Little instruction. Lots of bugs

Definitely research a little before buying this app. I wish I had so I'm writing this to hopefully save you some time and frustration. I'm an experienced pilot and have used quite a few autonomous flight programs to help get shots and try something new. This is the worst of them. The "tutorial" is little more than short animations of the features and the YouTube channel has an incredibly small collection of videos. Some are 7 secs and explain nothing, while others are longer but presented in a style that allows you to learn nothing. During an introduction video the presenter didn't even bother to edit, or explain an error message that appears on screen. He chooses instead ignore the message and go on half explaining buttons. On the one flight I had the the app behaved erratically and there X button you would typically expect to end a mode just seemed to cause it to get worse. I was about to flip flight modes and regain control, but not before clipping a tree and crashing. Luckily I was low to the ground and just needed to replace a propeller. I'm surprised the developer is able to sell this app considering its so poorly put together and has a good chance of doing harm to other people, out property. Stay away from this app for now and save your money. I've used both Litchi and autopilot and either is we'll worth the difference in cost from this stinker.
