What is ISS Live Now? ISS Live Now is an app that provides a 24/7 video livestream from the International Space Station. It allows users to view live video streams directly from the International Space Station’s cameras and track the Space Station’s orbit around the planet using the native Google Map (ISS tracker). The app also offers different sources of live video streaming, including NASA TV, Spacewalk (recorded), Inside the International Space Station, and Eventual channel. Users can even be notified when the next sunset or sunrise will occur, allowing them to watch it live directly from the International Space Station.

Software Features and Description

1. ISS Live Now gives you easy access to a live video feed of Earth from the International Space Station, which is orbiting about 400 kilometers (250 miles) above the planet.

2. With ISS Live Now, you can view interesting live video streams directly from the International Space Station’s cameras.

3. Eventual channel: Temporary live cameras from NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), the Russian Space Agency (Roscosmos) and the SpaceX.

4. See the Earth as the astronauts see it with a 24/7 video livestream from the International Space Station.

5. You even have the option to be notified when the next sunset or sunrise will occur, allowing you to watch it live directly from the International Space Station.

6. When the ISS (International Space Station) is on the night side of Earth, the video image is black, which is normal.

7. Inside the International Space Station: Take a video tour of each module inside the ISS, all explained by the astronauts.

8. Live standard camera: It shows a live stream of the Earth and, from time to time, details about the ISS (like tests, maintenance and communication with Earth).

9. NASA TV: The television service of the United States government agency NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration).

10. You can watch science and space documentaries, interview with scientists, astronauts, engineers and personalities such as Elon Musk.

☹ Cons:

- Recent glitch with the HD and SD camera buttons being cut in half by the camera picture

- Image quality can be poor, with the SD camera having low contrast and being under-focused, and the HD camera having high contrast and being over-focused

- Some users may have expected better camera quality from an organization like JPL and NASA

Ive never given anything a 5-star... until I actually watched the live stream (of the Earth) and seen it (the the app) passing overhead -wow, now that IS pretty fantastic! 😳 * I can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t give this a great rating - if you want to be dazzled by fireworks you can “google” that so just stop with the negativity - this is real life science so my hats off to the developers for making this such a great way to stay in touch with “those guys (and girls) 254 miles overhead. Obviously none of those “flat-earthers” are doing any of this cross comparison analysis - but I’ll tell you what; when you “live stream” and see your state passing under the model and you see the the app passing over head it makes you think how awesome the the app and this app is and it’s great ability to “keep tabs” on the coolest thing I can think of in my lifetime! - thanks guys (the developers/maintenance crew/etc.) Your app rocks!!!

Is this the best they have to offer the public tax payer? First off the image quality is horrible! You'd think an organization like JPL and NASA would have the very best camera's / Imagery but it's evident that they don't. Or maybe they do and have tweaked the camera's just enough so that the public can't make out exactly what's what. Either way the live camera viewing is really awful. It's seems like the SD cam has its contrast turned way down and under focused while the supposed HD cam has its contrast turned up to high and over focused. Add this with the constant loss of connection it truly makes this app nothing more than a novelty. It's weird to lose connection as much as the the app does when your right up there with the satellites that supposably relay this signal. Either way the publics viewing of space could be 100X better so why isn't it???

I’ve been using and enjoying the app for a while now, but recently the HD and SD camera buttons have been cut in half by the camera picture making it so I can’t tap either HD or SD button to switch camera views. It’s making me nuts! I loved being able to view inside of the the app, but can’t since this glitch occurred. Please fix!

This is my favorite app out of everything I have. Any time during the day or night, I can see Earth FROM SPACE. I’ve heard astronauts work on the the app using the cameras, I’ve seen Cyngus land FROM the perspective of the the app, and I’ve seen hurricanes. All these things I hear in the news, I can see for myself on a daily basis. I check this app whenever I feel drained at work and it always inspires me to achieve more. Thanks NASA and JPL.
