1. Updates can be made to object attributes (such as Asset Tag or Username assigned to a device), or to a static group or prestage scope (adding devices, removing devices, or replacing the entire prestage/group contents).

2. It is a GUI tool designed to simplify making mass updates to your Jamf Pro Server, whether cloud hosted or on premises.

3. The MUT or Mass Update Tool is an unofficial tool which is not affiliated with Jamf.

4. Admins can upload a CSV file containing the updates that they would like to make, and MUT will process those updates.

Install MUT app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using MUT on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "MUT"
The search will reveal the MUT app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once MUT is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including MUT.
Now enjoy MUT on PC.

Essential app for JAMF admins

This is an incredibly useful app for JAMF admins. This version is a huge improvement - being able to preflight upload files before running them is very helpful. I have around 2,000 macs and almost as many iOS devices among 5 sites on my JSS, and The this app helps me keep those records up to date.

Yes this app is great. It is one of the good ones I use. Great! This app was written to fulfill a need and it is the best tool to fill that need and its good stuff and the dev is handsome

This app has been up and down as far as quality of development. It seems ok now, except one crucial thing. When you push a moble device name this app no longer check marks the box "Enforce Moble Name"! That is extreamly horrible.. there is no point in MUTing device names if the enforce name is not check marked. Such a let down to see this break!!!!

this app was originally designed to simplify life for those who were sick of—or uncomfortable with—scripts that utilize the JSS API. And it does that very well! All you need to do is select a CSV file that has your unique identifier in A, and the value of the attribute you want to update in B, then fill out the dropdowns and hit Run. Be aware it is a very powerful tool, so make sure your dropdowns are correct and your CSV is formatted correctly.
