  • Simple and precisely what I need

By Radio days rocked (Pcmac user)

I'm still a bit new to sewing, but my fabric stash is growing to the point where I need to organize it somehow. I'm someone who needs to see what they have, not hide it away; and I know that if a system is too complicated, I will procrastinate using it, rendering it pointless. This app is perfect for me because I have a photo record of my fabric with useful info such as content and yardage. At the same time, it is user friendly, not loaded up with fancy but unnecessary features. I often find that useful apps get ruined as developers try to outdo themselves. Having the app on my iPhone is nearly as good as having my stash right at my fingertips. And the support is excellent. While simple to use, I had a minor glitch with purchasing the full version. This was an App Store issue, but the developer still responded very quickly and got back to me with suggestions for dealing with my problem. You can't ask for better than that.
  • Excellent app

I didn’t want to like this app because I never pay over a couple of bucks for apps. The thing is, it’s actually worth it! My 5 year old daughter and I had fun cataloguing my fabric stash. We are about 1/4 way through the main collection and the little summary page tells me we are at over 80yards. I have a lovely collection of pictures on my screen which is motivating. I used the location function to determine not just location of unused fabric but also to set the location as “finished” - I’d love a way to set that as an actual function rather than my work around to keep motivating me to turn fabric into things! I’m not sure how big the photo files are and whether memory on my iPhone will be an issue. I think it could be great to add a notions/trim section for a full inventory. I use “other” as a label for Linings. That’s what I like about this app- you could do more- but you don’t NEED to. It is so quick to log each fabric. If a fabric is not worth the minute to list, it is probably not worth having in my “keep” pile- which has been a good discipline. I’m enjoying seeing what I own (and had forgotten about) and my daughter enjoyed finding fabric that she liked enough for us to turn it into a dress. Quickest sewing project ever! Thanks for helping organize my sewing room!
  • Well-designed app - a few tweaks would make it even better

    By trippybrowneyes (Pcmac user)

I really like how this app is laid out. There are two ways to view your fabric, both of which are aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate. The fabric organization categories suit my needs. The best part of this app is being able to filter fabric by type, length, weight, and whether it has been prewashed. It is also nice to be able to see a summary - by number of pieces, yardage and type -of just how giant your stash is (mine was larger than anticipated!). That said, there are a few improvements that would make this app even better: -Allowing fractions when entering yardage. Yes, I am able to enter 1 1/3 yds as 1.33, but since fabric requirements (at least in the US) are always listed in fractions, not decimals, this would be a nice option. -Adding "width" as a filter option. -Allowing multiple filters. Right now, if I need at least 3 yards of a knit fabric, I have to filter on "knits" and scroll through all of the yardage, or filter on "length" and scroll through both knits and wovens. Multiple filters would allow me to zero in on a fabric more quickly and would be of great help to people with giant stashes. Overall, this is a very useful organizing tool for managing your fabric stash.
  • Great help to quilters

    By daylily1 (Pcmac user)

I am impressed with this app and how useful it is to keep track of my fabric purchases. It’s easy to use and I love the idea that I am able to take a photo of each of my fabrics in my stash. One can also enter information such as fabric type, color, amount of yardage, name, designer, and price. The only thing that is preventing me from giving 5 stars is that I am unable to sync the app to my iPad. I am older and having a hard time typing things in on my iPhone. If I could use the bigger device to enter my information and still have it available to reference on my iPhone, when shopping, would be perfect. Thanks to the developer for responding quickly to inquiries and questions very quickly. It’s a very handy app if you need help keeping track of your stash.
