Terrible ad laced news app

the app shouldn’t use their mobile news app as just another advertisement platform. We local TV viewers get enough of that when trying to watch 60 seconds of TV news that’s chased with commercial after commercial that lasts twice as long as the actual news. The first experience of the app starts out okay, but the next time you open the app you will see a full page ad, and ad banners in the middle plus at the bottom of the feed screens as well, and they are native ads, which means they look like news but its disguised as an ad. The overall usage of the app becomes “guess what’s behind this news picture, advertisement or news...?”
Drop the ads in your feeds and the 50 pixel bottom ad as well, show an interstitial ad only once every 3rd or 4th time I come into the app (and enable app resume), plus give an option to not show pictures in-feed because of bandwidth, and you might have something here...as long as you don’t decide to send push alerts as advertisements to me too...

Huge opening ad

This is much better than the previous version, but the ad that pops up over the whole screen immediately on opening is too much. Do you really need a 5 second ad in addition to all of the ads in there regular news feed? I will be deleting and reading local news from a different source. Latest version is a huge battery drain. Reading two stories makes by battery drop 20%.
Edit: the return of the ad on the splash screen has done it. I have deleted and switched to a different local news provider who still had plenty of ads in their app but are not nearly as intrusive.

Forced into ad while monitoring tornado warning?

I was in the middle of reading a TORNADO WARNING for a neighboring county, and as I am reading what counties are going to be in the path of the storm, and trying to determine my family's risk of being caught in its path, an ad popped up, and took over my screen telling me that I had just won a $500 Walmart gift card, and it would not let me go back to the tornado warning. I had to quickly switch to a different weather source to finish reviewing the warning. Considering the nature of the storm, I am highly disappointed that this happened, and this is something that should be fixed quickly!

Enough with the advertisements

Storm sirens sound and taking shelter in the basement. When we needed a weather update, we got a 30 second commercial. 30 seconds doesn’t sound like much but it is when you need to know where the tornado is.
There is an advertisement when you open the app. Another between forecasts and video. One more at the bottom, then you have watch one every expletive time you up a video. I would gladly pay for a version of both the the app apps to not have to deal with the stupid advertisements. I am going to delete this one until the do something different.
