  • Please get rid of or update audio

    By Rock&Ice (Pcmac user)

this app is fantastic. I wrote this review mainly to see if the app powers that be at this app could possibly update their audio availability. Audm is kind of lacking. You can’t easily rewind or fast forward with any accuracy. You can’t speed up. Also, very limited selections of the app magazine are available for listening. Not that I’m illiterate, but it is nice to be able to listen to selections when reading isn’t a viable option. For a model to follow, I suggest taking a look at the app Economist’s app. the app entire magazine is available for listening and done very well with great production value. It would be great to be able to have the app functions above (skip forward and listen at variable speeds). Also, I think it’s a bit much to ask me to purchase another app (Audm) when I already pay a pretty fair price for my New Yorker subscription. Again, the app Economist does not do this and they set a great example. Otherwise the app app is pretty user friendly. I’d like to be able to bookmark favorite cartoons. Also, as far as audio content is concerned, this app radio hour is outstanding. Overall, please keep up the app fantastic work at this app!
  • It’s a bit hit or miss whether the iPad App works

    By Nubeena (Pcmac user)

I only started reading the app magazine on my iPad about five months ago, and am underwhelmed by the app experience. Sometimes the app App works, meaning that I can access all the app stories from the app magazine, and sometimes it doesn’t. the app most recent magazine, for example (November 19, 2018) gives me only three “Goings on About Town” items - nothing else. I have closed and opened the app App, I have logged out and back in, and even removed and re-installed the app App, all with the app same result. It would be OK if this was the app only time something went wrong - on at least two occasions in the app last three months the app magazine completely failed to download, and/or told me I didn’t have a subscription. In contrast, I have never had any issues with the app iPhone App, which I have been happily using for several years.
  • Not worthy of the New Yorker

    By Stanleykubrickmartinscorcese (Pcmac user)

I think your App is AWFUL and I love everything else about the app NYer...whenever I get my daily email from the app Nyer with a story that interests me I click on it but it denies me entry (why if the app NYer sends mail to my email address can it not recognize that I have been a subscriber for THIRTY PLUS years???)...but I’m interested enough in the app article to open up my NYer App to read the app article there but half the app time it denies me access, instructing me to link my subscription (which I have done repeatedly!!!) Tonight was the app final straw: Patrick Berry is my favorite crossword constructor so I was eager to tackle his puzzle; I went through the app rigamarole described above, but when I reached the app Link Your Subscription page, my attempts to either enter my address or my subscription number failed. Aaaaaargh! Please tell me what I am doing wrong and make the app NYer more digital friendly for your loyal and enthusiastic subscribers!!!
  • Bookmarks won't work

    By Logic22438585 (Pcmac user)

Saving where you're at on an article is an amazing feature when it works. Half the app time I reopen the app article, I'm at the app top of the app article instead of where I left off. It doesn't matter if I manually bookmark it, or close out of the app app - it sometimes works, and other times it won't. the app app works fine aside from that, but considering the app length of the app articles, that's a pretty necessary feature. I do wish there were fun ways to discover old articles I may not find otherwise (a retrospective, editor's choice, browse by tags, etc.), or that the app old articles went back even further.
