Finally, a game that has all the details of a challenging, fun game plus an interesting story that follows its plot line and does not disappoint. Original collectibles, morphing objects, humorous surprise achievements, collecting STARS (who wouldn't enjoy collecting stars??) and a setting in my home of Interior Alaska. I can relate to the climate! I'm a happy camper. Good job, developers! *Update: completed the game. Still hold a high opinion of the clever design that went into this game. Suggestions for developers- 1. Some of the HO objects were very tiny and hard to discern. Can you enlarge them a bit? 2. Nobody teaches Alaska history well anywhere, except the university history profs in AK or Native elders. I've studied with both. May I help? You wove your Alaska setting better than any game I've encountered. However, there are 11 different Native groups in AK. Two are Eskimo (Yupik, Inuit), one Aleuts, and the others are various Indian tribes. The Interior is populated with the Indian tribes, while the northern and west/southwest coastal regions are inhabited by the Eskimos. Only the Tlingit tribe, an Indian tribe in the relatively warmer SE stretch of Alaska built and used totems as they were located near the lush Tongass forest. Eskimo and Interior Indians didn't build totems due to needing all available wood for burning simply to keep warm (-60 degree temps). Just some notes for authenticity :)

I like Elf, and he's in this game...Yay! But while all the fundamentals are great, the plot just doesn't work with the MT series. And I'm used to some innovative thinking from this series, but this didn't have any. I wasn't going to review, because most of the other reviewers have made similar comments. Just So so so SO predictable. Find oil for a rusty lock, check. Use a coin to unscrew something, check. Run up stairs to battle the bad guy, check. And on and on. So, there's not much new I can say, except that some reviewers have said the game is short. I didn't find it short...just puerile, boring and cold. So, for me, it's a three star game and Elf gets his own little extra star. Hope all the reviewers are well. I saw Lynx has medical issues, sending prayers. And good wishes to all. I'm a big fan of this app games and Elephant, so I purchased Winterpoint at once! As usual, I have found no glitches or obvious errors in the game. You, the Detective, are in Alaska trying to stop the prehistoric Cold Stalkers who were awakened. The Stalkers are attempting to freeze the entire world with the help of a device. (Mr. Freeze, anyone?) Many of the games in this episode are mechanical or mathematical in nature. Your little cute dog friend, Elf, is with you again, climbing to retrieve objects for you. The Cold Stalkers have the additional ability to assume the form of any human or animal, making your task more difficult. The Hidden Objects include the Match Two Hidden Items and other variables. Along your path, you find many Morphing Objects and Collectibles. One of the interesting new twists is a sky full of stars which you collect one star at a time! Nice! Also, you have devices like a cell phone, a laptop computer, and glasses that detect "activity" in your area. All of these features add up to a game that is well worth your money! North to Alaska!

Another great game by Elephant Games! As usual Elephant Games delivers on all fronts: graphics, sound, and gameplay. I did knock one star off because the bonus chapter was really short.
