  • Great App if You’re on a Budget

    By Cb301 (Pcmac user)

I got this app since I couldn’t afford drone deploy, and man has this app delivered. I have a P4Pro V2 and it works flawlessly. I love the split screen experience. I wish it were a bit easier to access and view data stored in the cloud, but for the price it’s totally worth it. Would highly recommend for anyone with a compatible DJI product.
  • Getting there

    By Ericbjr1 (Pcmac user)

Grid plan works nicely now. A suggestion for waypoint mode. I typically set focus points and I would like the drone to interpret between two focus points ie. when flying along a line between two waypoints have the drone interpolate between two focal points instead of only pointing at one or the other.
  • So far , so good !! Seems very promising!

    By Panzer081 (Pcmac user)

Got the app expecting another limited way point flying app. Was surprised to learn this app has no maximum distant from home point. So now that turns this app into something that could be very useful rather than just something to play around with. It takes the little spark drone to a whole other level. You can set it up to fly out and orbit a point of interest with a set of waypoint arranged around what you want to video in an orbit fashion. I’m talking the app will even work the camera gimbal once it gets to the orbit way points. The flights during testing this app so far have been smooth and I’m pleased with them. I would like to see the app take the first set of waypoint settings and then use those for all following way points, currently I have to go through each waypoint and change things like speed , altitude, and etc at each one . I could be setting up wrong in the beginning because I thought it did use that first way points settings as defaults for the rest. So I may be back to edit that part after further practice. I only give 4 instead of 5 stars because when ever you take over with the controller after aborting a mission , the drones responsiveness to controller inputs seems sluggish, like a slight delay is occurring between moving a control stick and the drone following those inputs. It is slight but noticeable, it isn’t anything that endangers the drone , more of an annoyance really. Switching back to the dji. Go 4 app quickly cures the issue and can be done in the app. There is a learning curve to efficiently creating a this app and can be frustrating at times. However I could offer no suggestions as to how to simplify that part, so I’m not criticizing here, just saying take the time to read and view the tutorials and it gets easier each time. You can do all planning without the drone being powered up and just save the this app to apply once your ready to fly, a nice feature as it lets you start with maximum battery power. Over all I’m very pleased and I’m about ready to use this on my Mavic Air now. The two really short test flights worked with no issues on that drone as well. With the connection issues the spark and mavic air have with there WiFi and interference, this app cancels some of that out as you can set it up to have the drone complete the mission at signal loss and then return home, rather than stopping and returning home if you lose signal. I would say this app is a good tool to have to use with the spark and mavic air for sure. I have no other hardware I could give an opinion on. I have no regrets over purchasing this app! One small addition , be sure to close out the dji go 4 app, if you have both open the drone won’t video, or at least you can’t tell whether it is or not, once I realized I needed to close out the go4 app before applying the this app everything worked great!
  • Gimbal/camera use

By Erb the drone guy (Pcmac user)

The overall app is very good and easy to use with a very short learning curve. However, setting up drone direction, camera angle and selecting video or photo is a bit hard to do.
