Software Features and Description

1. • "Pressure Tracking" and "History Graph" require "Background App Refresh" or "Always Location Service" with "Exact update interval" (paid feature) enabled.

2. Barometer Plus app measures air pressure and altitude using your device's built-in barometric pressure sensor.

3. • Display barometric pressure (sensor value) or mean sea level pressure (MSLP - value used in weather forecast services or stations).

4. Because air pressure changes usually indicate a weather change, you can use this app to monitor and predict short-term weather variations.

5. • Weather icons on the dial: This only shows the air pressure trend like in an analog barometer.

6. People suffering from migraine, headaches, or joint pain can monitor how barometric pressure impacts their mood.

7. Notify when air pressure changes indicate that extreme or worse weather may occur.

8. • "My Area" allows you to define your frequent stay places, and the app tracks air pressure with location data.

9. Fishermen can monitor the atmospheric pressure for right-time fishing.

10. • App only works on devices with a barometer sensor, such as iPhone 6/6s/7/8/X/11/12/13 (including Plus models), iPad Mini 4/Air 2/Pro, or later.

11. • Each time your device reboots, open the app for tracking with the "Exact update interval" feature work.

  • Good intentions

This app seems to work well enough for what it does. As previously stated, it seems to be a bit off, but your iPhone isn’t a the app, so as long as you have the offset corrections set it’s good enough. My problem lies in the background app refresh. What I really want to see from this app is the graph of past the app data so I can track migraines. Unfortunately, for this to work, I have a flashing blue bar across the top of my phone screen constantly that says “this app is Actively Using Your Location”, even though it should only be updating every hour. The flashing blue bar is enough to make me close the app, rendering the pressure history useless. The developer response solution is not an option as “never” and “while using the app” are the only options regarding location
  • Get to know it

    By mbwally (Pcmac user)

As a professional avalanche forecaster snd fly fishing guide, I’m constantly watching the weather. I got this app as a quick reference to monitor pressure trends. After learning about all it can do, I’ve discovered it’s a powerful app. Exporting pressure data into spreadsheets and graphing is super helpful. It’s easy to read and looks great on the iPad. I’d recommend studying up barometric pressure then revisit this app and take some time to get to know it. As far as accuracy, I’ve compared it with actual NWS surface pressure charts along with other instruments. When set properly, it’s as accurate as any other instruments I check and use, including my pocket altimeter. Great app!
  • Using for Tracking Arthritic Pain

    By klansndn (Pcmac user)

My mom has severe arthritis and I downloaded this app to try to get a handle on her pain fluctuations. One thing I really like about this app is that readings are shown on a scale from high to low pressure. I don’t know anything about reading barometric pressure so this scale is really informative ( highs and lows). I’ve used other apps before and I like this one much better because it gives you some context.
  • LOVE this app!

    By allbarknobite (Pcmac user)

I’ve been looking for a reliable the app where I could track the changes. All other weather apps I have only gave me the pressure for that one moment, and I certainly do not have time to chart all the changes. For people who get pressure related migraines or other types of headaches due to pressure changes, having this information readily available from the graph is extremely helpful! Now I can track when the headaches occur, and will be able to help predict and prevent them in the future. Thank you to the developer for this well thought-out wonderful app!
