  • Good content but app not all that

    By Mtmrod (Pcmac user)

I just started using this app so I'm giving this review based on my first impression. I immediately read the first devotion and thought the content was wonderful. However, after playing with the app and trying to learn how it works, I don't like it so much. The recording section is weird and is just a bunch of testing recordings. I am not even sure what its purpose. Nothing is very intuitive about this app. I clicked on the bible and it took me to another section but the same section really (or was it). I tried to swept her devotions but could only go one direction through them which meant that the one I accidentally skipped will just be skipped. I texted a link to a friend and then tried it to see what they would see and it was two links to nowhere. One plus was that I was able to copy and then text the whole devotional. That feature is great. The last part of my review is about the background. This is what prompted me to post a review in the first place. It is distracting sometimes and on one of the devotional was blocking the words. It just seems not well thought out. I still will use the app CB the content is good but that will be until I find better or it gets better. Thanks
  • Be not faint of heart

    By Janerzz (Pcmac user)

This is the best fast, one minute, no excuses devotional I have found. Yes, I have to rapidly click five times when the error message appears, but that becomes a habit that takes less than a second and is so worth it. We click around all day and don’t even think about it. Five times. Fast. You can do it. The blessings of connecting with the Word for a moment every single day before work far outweigh the inconvenience of five quick clicks. I pray it will bless you and inspire a hunger for even more of the Word.
  • Disappointed!!!!!

    By dwhitehurst09 (Pcmac user)

I normally don’t write reviews but this one really bothered me. In a few weeks I’ll start back to school and was wanting a quick devotional to start the day. I chose this because our summer reading at church had covered the books of Psalms, the app, and I John. Even after reading the reviews of people who warned about the technical issues, I still chose to give it a try. After downloading the app, I couldn’t even access it due to the error message. It just kept popping up. I know that I clicked cancel at least three times and it was still there. I’m sorry I’m not going to use an app that I have to fight with on a regular basis to use. Please fix and I’ll be more than happy to try again!!
  • Sadly Crashing

    By ShennettK (Pcmac user)

I love the app 31 devotions and was looking forward to carrying them with me on my phone. I haven’t had any luck with the app, however, as it crashes with each use. I’ve deleted it and reinstalled it more than once with the same results. To be honest, though, for the few minutes I was able to use it I found the design a bit distracting anyway - over the top feminine, childlike really, (and I’m pretty feminine myself!) and the banner ad too hard to ignore. I think I will return to a printed version and delete the app from my phone. I do love the ministry though and will find other ways to support it for sure.
