Download an Android emulator for PC:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Lean"
The search will reveal the Lean - Clean up Live Photos app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Lean is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Lean.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Lean,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Lean" » then Click "Install".
- Lean - Clean up Live Photos will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

It doesn't do what it says

Yes it disables the live part of the live photo, but the file SIZE stays exactly the same, which defeats the whole purpose. After you delete the original live photo, the app declares that it has claimed back some amount of storage (usually around 2.5MB), but I found it's a random number because the resulting "this app" photo is the same size or sometimes slightly bigger than the original live photo file size, which makes absolutely no sense. I tested this multiple times by transferring the "this app" and original live photos to my computer and comparing them. It's either a sham or the app is broken. Even though the app is free, I'm still upset because it wasted quite a bit of my time. Using iPhone 6s Plus with iOS 9.2.

Fast and easy way to clean up your photo library by deleting the movie portion of Live Photos that don't need to be live. Makes it worthwhile to just always leave the "Live" setting turned ON in the camera app, so that you never miss anything, knowing that you can quickly reclaim storage space later.

I will put 5 stars if you can mark Live Photos that have "live" disabled in Photos app. So I will disable Live in Photos app and then open this app and actually delete Live part. I will pay for a feature to be able to do that automatically for all photos at once.

This app is awesome. Live Photos take up much more space than you would think and this app helps get rid of unwanted Live Photos while leaving the original still photo with exif data intact. Great job!
