Install VIA Rail app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using VIA Rail on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "VIA Rail"
- The search will reveal the VIA Rail app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once VIA Rail is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including VIA Rail.
- Now enjoy VIA Rail on PC.

New features are great

This app used to be buggy, but the updates have really helped. Looks great and easy to navigate. Definitely recommend if travelling by rail

Worse than the website

This app doesn't even allow you to check ticket availability or prices unless you sign in (and maybe not even then). Also, it's hard to navigate back and forward in the train schedule search--there's no back button. And when you try to fill in the arrival station, the app keeps sending you instead to the train number field. Poor design.

Extortionate fares

If you have even two riders, it's cheaper to take a cab than this ripoff transit system. I've never seen prices this high anywhere else in the world. A twenty minute ride costs thirty bucks per person! Do yourself a favor and just get a cab. Help clog the roads until the bozos in charge start taking mass transit seriously.

Sign-In broken

App Sign-In didn’t work. I had to delete the App and re-install it to fix the problem.
