Software Features and Description

1. Tired of the hassle of checking your emails? Sick of having to go through 30 steps to send an email? Then this app is for you! AlphaMail is a small, lightweight email client that presents your emails in a popover from the menu bar.

2. It’s a major hassle and takes loads of time to open a web browser or email client, go to the proper website or screen, wait for the page to load, and wait for your emails to download before you can read them.

3. AlphaMail solves this problem by running in the background and continuously checking your inbox and downloading new emails as they come in, so when you’re ready to read them, all you have to do is click one button and it’s ready to go.

4. This app is great for anyone who likes to stay on top of their emails or sends a lot of emails and doesn't want to have the massive interruption of checking and sending emails using a bloated website or client.

5. If you send lots of emails, you know how annoying and time consuming it can be to go through a ton of steps just to shoot off a quick email.

6. If you're sick and tired of checking emails the standard way, then download AlphaMail now.

7. With AlphaMail, all you have to do is open the app popover and click “compose” and you can send off an email in mere seconds.

8. AlphaMail also solves this problem by putting a quick “compose” button right on the main screen of the app.

  • Functional but barebones

    By jlemieux (Pcmac user)

The app works. Adding my Fastmail account was quick and painless. It really needs a design overhaul, though. Some things that would make it better (in priority order) The menubar icon is huge and ungainly. It could behalf the size and also incorporate the number of unread messages so the app does not need to take up 2 places on the menubar. The menubar icon does not respect alpha dimming in el cap. The font of choice is a difficult to read serif font. A switch to a native San Francisco would do wonders. It does not integrate with Address Book. If you don’t know the email address you want to compose to you’re out of luck. The hotkeys to reply/forward do not work. Downloading attachments requires too many clicks. It’s got good potential, though. Keep at it!
  • Good Idea — Needs Work to be Competitive

    By blittle (Pcmac user)

Aesthetics do matter rather puritanical in appearance but most importantly inconsistent performance rejected my “me” account [iCloud] and rejected my gmail accounts, but then those accounts appeared later. It needs more work.
