This app is good for repetitive writing of the hirigana characters, it’s important to learn to right them as well as recognizing them. This app covers the writing portion. Well worth the dollar.

I'm trying to teach myself Japanese with some help from one of my friends and i found this incredibly helpful! I'm still learning but I found that even though I was worried about actually writing it by pencil/pen/marker, it has seriously helped me a lot more than watching my friend write and trying to copy her character over and over until I've cover a page or two. And it's really helpful how I can see a neat version of the character next to mine with just a click. I would definitely recommend this app to others. 👍🏽
