1. The Camera Control for GoPro Hero cameras allows you to control GoPro Hero cameras over Wifi/WLAN and displays live video preview.

2. If the GoPro cannot be controlled with the app or the preview does not work then completely power off the GoPro by removing both the USB cable and the battery.

3. - Enable Wifi ("app" or "phone+tablet" mode) on your GoPro Hero.

4. This app is an alternative app for controlling GoPro Hero cameras.

5. If you cannot see the live preview then make sure that the macOS firewall does not block the UDP port 8554 (details: ).

6. The default GoPro Wifi password is "goprohero".

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Video preview on Hero 5 causes crash in version 2.07

Let’s face it, my expectations were low given the reviews, but heck, for $3.99 it was worth a try. It took me a while to figure out how to connect my Hero 5. You have to connect to the WiFi network provided by the GoPro for it to work. Unfortunately, when you attempt to turn on preview the app crashes. I have send the crash info to Apple, and hopefully this problem will be fixed soon. I have not tried changing the settings via the app.

I went on a 3hr off road and started the application, it said it was recording, but when I connected my gopro to my MAC, there was no video, nothing, wasted money, DONT BUY. I know the gopro is working as I use it all the time for making video’s of my off road, but this program did NOTHING. I will use my other program that never lets me down, tried something new, should of known better. Once again DONT BUY.. I wish I could write the owner to let him know how upset Cam

But no, this app is junk like the majority of reviews said. It pairs and connects (showing the the app’s status and settings) but no preview which is what I need.

the app registers but the streaming video doesn’t work. That’s why I wanted it in the first place. Want my money back.
