  • Excellent app for taking meeting minutes

    By UCLA (Pcmac user)

I am thoroughly impressed with this application after migrating the app minutes taken in the Notes app and MS Word. The UI makes sense after stepping through the tutorial as is advised by the developer. It is insanely simple to setup a new the app from Calendar, mark attendee presence and absence, then get right to taking notes. I love that I can click on attendee names to insert them in-line with my notes. The ease with which I can assign action items is sheer brilliance. One of the best features is, with a single click, I can distribute the the app minutes to all invitees via email as soon as the the app concludes. This application works just as well for online meetings and conference calls as I imagine it would with face-to-face meetings. My only concern is supportability going forward as the last update to this application was in 2015. I sincerely hope the developer hasn’t shelved this product because it is a game-changer!
  • Crashed

    By pepere junior (Pcmac user)

There’s not a lot of apps out there for taking minutes that doesn’t just turn out to be a note-taking app. This app was different - it lets you create action plans, add attendees, even repeat meetings. It’s a good app but there’s not enough attention being paid to the software side of things - it’s a boggy app and mine ended up crashing after using it for 3 months and now I can’t find any of my original notes (thank god I have the emails). Work it out this app - you could be a contender!
  • I see the potential after one meeting

    By RockinRedSF (Pcmac user)

I did spend about 15 minutes with the tutorial - and thankful that I did. I retained a few short cuts and have not fully explored all of the functionality yet, but I used it for a six-hour the app yesterday and was able to send out the minutes and task assignments before the last person even left the room. I believe that it will become even more valuable once I master all of the special tricks and short cuts and will help minimize my time formating minutes and managing tasks (particularly those assigned to others). I’m also going to recommend that others on my team try this app so that we have a unified platform - we shall see. I do hope the app doesn’t crash the way it has on others. I would have been incredibly pi$$ed off if I lost 6 hours worth of minutes. Fingers crossed.
  • Once you get familiar with it…..

    By CPSSNY (Pcmac user)

The interface is not intuitive, I agree. You have to work at it to get comfortable with it. Once you do get the feel of it, it is actually okay and does a decent job of producing the app reports that you can email out with nicely formatted action steps. This aspect of the program is a decent time saver, and makes the price worth it for me. I did run into a critical problem: After last update the program stopped working in the sense that every time I opened the program, it was stuck on Initializing the database. No Meetings would save, and all past meetings were lost. After tinkering around, I made a guess that it might have something to do with synching and I turned off iCloud syncing in OSX system preferences - which indeed fixed the problem. Happy that it is now working again. All my past meetings were lost though. Not a big upset for me as I really use the program to simply caputure meetings and then email the minutes out. Actions steps recorded are later manually incorporated into a different Todo system. Before the iCloud issue, I never had a problem of the program crashing on me. If hadn’t had the icloud issue, I would have given 4 stars with a warning of the learning curve.
