  • Painfully Slow

    By mu66Le (Pcmac user)

Overall I like the app enough to use it. However, i get frustrated every time I open the app bc every single step/click is so Painfully slow. I thought it might speed up the loading time if I deleted books from the library that I wasn’t going to read (pre loaded books) but I couldn’t find a way to delete them. I would like to edit the library and add photos also as the other review mentioned. Also it would be nice if I could select “today” and just check all the 5 books we read, select both children, and it increased their book count. Instead I have to go through this painfully slow process 10 times just to add 5 books we read together for 2 kids. I usually have to wait till they’re asleep to update their reading list Bc they’re not patient enough to wait for me to scan a book, add it, then add it to both their reading lists.
  • Could be really great with a few improvements

    By Lovin'earth (Pcmac user)

We are to 600 books and have been using this app for about 8 months now. It's the best book tracking app I've used, but I wish it did the following things: Allowed you edit info for a book in your library after you initially add it (such as add an image, author, page numbers, etc.) Allowed you to differentiate from read books and unread books in your library. I'd like to be able to add books I'd like to read to our library list prior to reading them, and then have the ability to sort or view unread books when we go to the library or bookstore. Ability to search for a single word in the title of a book in your library instead of just the first word. This would be especially useful in finding/organizing Disney books. It's hard to remember if the Bambi book in our library is called Disney's Bambi, just Bambi, or Little Golden Books Disney Bambi, etc., and if it was possible to just type Bambi and have it show up regardless of the first word that would be great (I've noticed the search function is the "Add a Book" does search entire titles, which is great) Other than those few things I like it quite a lot. Would recommend it and am happy our library is participating in the the app books program.
  • Serviceable but barely

    By Lgibs890703 (Pcmac user)

    1. Painfully slow 2. Scan to add pulls up books about half the time 3. Only adds books to your library about half the time when it says it does 4. Can’t edit entries after they’ve been added 5. Can only search for the first word in a title? 6. Comes with a ton of preloaded books, but no way to mass-delete books you don’t have. I spent almost an hour just doing that the first time I downloaded it. There should be a way to add multiple books, or add a single book multiple times. When my own year olds wants me to read Zoom City 12 times in a row, I don’t want to have to add it to her reading list twelve separate times. It would also be nice if you could go to the library, look up a book, and add it as read from there, instead of only from the child’s profile. I’m going to use it because I can’t keep track of how many times I’ve read something in a row without help, but it’s not a pleasant experience.
  • Wonderful program HORRIBLE app

    By RetricaSpectrica (Pcmac user)

This is unfortunate to leave a one star review because the program and the idea behind the app is absolutely wonderful. The app itself is horrible and agonizing to use. It’s a shame that no-one running this program is interested in fixing this app. There has to be technologically savvy people out there that would be willing to volunteer their time to make this a smoother running program and to fix the issues yet no one is acknowledging the issues. The reviews are reporting issues with this app for more than a year now. The books take longer to upload and complete than it takes to read them because of glitches and the app just shutting down. Often the books scan in as unknown and you have to close the app and reopen it and hope it will work again. Most of the time the app won’t load the list of books and just * thinks and thinks* as if it’s trying to work.
