  • Horrible support

    By turtlesomethin19 (Pcmac user)

When I went to renew/ verify my student status this year my school email was coming up as invalid. My school email was valid last year but somehow the same email is no longer valid. This is the email that my community college gives me. When I contacted support they gave me a generic response after multiple days saying I need to provide a student ID. I am doing online school through my community college (still a full time student though) so I don’t have an ID because my school doesn’t give them to online students. I have asked multiple times why my email is invalid and what else I can do to prove my student status and they never respond. Not only that but if you get more than one email from them within the same support ticket it is never the same person so I’m sure they never know what the issue is, thus the generic response that I’ve received multiple times. The app seems very selective with what students they seem worthy of a discount, ridiculous.
  • Terrible support

    By Tugowar (Pcmac user)

I have been a university student for the past 2 years and have am still registered for the coming semester... I was able to receive benefits from having established an account since last year(2 semesters ago) and for some reason they could not verify that I am still a student so they immediately discontinued my benefits. When I tried to verify my eligibility(through my school email) this app kept me from completing my account by refusing to send me an email(which they indicated they sent) for account completion. Since then, I have tried numerous attempts at contacting support only to have been responded to by an automated email indicating that I have forgotten my password? I have in fact not forgotten my password, and have tried to explain my situation to them at least 5 times only to receive the same automated email about “forgetting your password”. I assume they are trying to get rid of the Apple Music student discount one way or the other... very distasteful
  • Worst customer service of all time

    By nicpdx35 (Pcmac user)

I never take the time to write reviews, but I feel compelled because of how horrifically bad this app customer service is. In an attempt to reset my password, I discovered that for whatever reason, their reset links never send to my email - and no, it’s not in junk/spam, or anything like that. I opened a ticket to try to get support to reset it, and the representative was completely incompetent. The few responses I did get from their customer service were laughable and redundant, and I’ve had to open multiple since just trying for a simple password reset, either to receive comedically unintelligent replies, or no response at all. The service itself was fine the one time I was able to log in and use it, but I hardly see a point in bothering with the app considering the company has no desire to let me sign into it.
  • Frustrating app and website

    By basics5 (Pcmac user)

I wanted to get the student discount for Apple Music and it made me go through this app. So I downloaded the app as well. I entered my email and used a password from my phone and then the app kept loading and loading so I closed the app and tried to sign up again. It said there was already an account so I I tried logging in with the password my phone saved. And it said it was invalid. So I clicked reset. And then email said my account was incomplete and I had to complete it... but to complete it I had to log in... which I could not. So I used another email and made an account and tried updating to my actual email and it kept asking for my school and ID. Which I’ve already done. Ugh just so frustrating why does Apple make us go through this app
