  • Nice feature - not many bugs - good support

    By fisherman1954 (Pcmac user)

First off I use an IPhone just to mention that point for iPone users as sometimes phones may have issues to some apps. I have had a few minor bugs. One is where a category of the same name popped up on my app. I did not yet take it off as I did not want to risk loosing details if I deleted it or the wrong one. I have email to support on this one today. Some of the bugs I had was a lack of understanding or wrong settings on my part I feel. So make sure you take time to set them right in beginning. I have used this for about a year. I think it missed a couple trips over the past year but to give them the benefit of the doubt I question if somehow I deleted them in error. I am not one for doing anything to apps until I talk to support. I am not a tech person. I will say their support is pretty good as they get back to you by email in a day or two. Knock on wood it has never crashed on me. My experience so far I rate them a four out of five but a close five just because I have been happy with their support so far.
  • Update 1.5 years IOS BT now beacon

    By Sooxi54327 (Pcmac user)

If you’re comparing them all, I didn’t find any free apps more reliable at accurate tracking for various reasons. My issues with TL are three: 1) failure to auto start/stop, 2) creating multiple identical locations and no option to see what you are merging into which to make sure you don’t delete anything, 3) offered setting for a few feet of distance to accommodate different addresses in a neighborhood or town yet randomly selecting a saved location 4 houses away or on a different street anyway. The team is responsive but the task goes back to you with reports and emails and the assumption that this is unique and more reports are necessary. The issues continue and you see everywhere that the issues are not unique and wish they would buy an iPhone to do reports there. The beacon has been a little improvement. It’s not maintenance free- I glance at every trip because it’s easier to fix before I forget, but it is better than the Blue Tooth was by about 10% or more. Keep the customer service but fix the IOS issues... PLEASE!!!
  • Constantly missing a TON of trips

    By Tclarson (Pcmac user)

I have been using this app for almost 2 years and it used to be pretty decent. But the last 6 months to a year have been awful. The app is on, auto start is on, but doesn’t track! Today is April 25 and the last recorded mileage trip was April 19, I have had multiple trips in my vehicle since the 19th, and business miles that are YET AGAIN, LOST!!!!! It’s very frustrating because this continues to be an issue! Support has been good with responding but they never actually fix anything, they tell me to make sure this and that are set, which the settings they tell me to check, were already set that way, but issues continue. I’m tired of constantly losing business miles, I don’t have a ton the way it is and now I have even less recorded because the app continues to not work. I’ve contacted support, over and over again, emailed, and emailed, AND EMAILED, and yet nothing changes, miles, DAYS OF MILAGE, continue to NOT be tracked. I don’t have time to worry about whether or not it’s working, isn’t that supposed to be the point of this app?!?! So you don’t have to worry about it?!?! I’m done with losing business miles because of this app.
  • Great app when it works

    By Memoryleak (Pcmac user)

I have troubleshot this app since day one. I have logged 15+ emails with support and have sent error logs, over 4 batches now, and to date their tech support can only do one thing well...Ask for more error logging and repeating the same process or asking me to join their beta, because they apparently don’t have enough people working on QA and bug testing on their end. Their final resolution to my problem was to wait until they introduce their new hardware (a BT hardware solution to offload GPS functionality to a dedicated piece of hardware that would then communicate the data to the iPhone for recording auto starts and stops and actual mileage). As if they could design, QA, and troubleshot hardware better than apple. They are now doing what all the auto manufacturers have proven they can’t do, and that is design, manufacture and deploy mobility hardware solutions for driving better than consumer electronic giants like Apple. this app, the solution is really quite simple, solve your software problem, focus on automating error logging and memory leaks, and fix your software integration with apple hardware. DON’T try to fix your sloppy software, with creating hardware solutions.
