  • Good App, But iCloud Sync Cumbersome

    By busygal52 (Pcmac user)

I have used this app for over 3 years. I believe it is the best over what I've tried, especially for viewing the data. I prefer it on my iPad for this reason, because I can see at a glance the the app readings, graphs and averages all on one screen. These are on the iPhone, but you have to pull up each screen individually. The one thing I'm just not happy with is that iCloud sync requires you to "back up to the cloud" on one device, and then "restore from cloud" on the other device. It doesn't automatically share the entries between the two like all my other apps do. This is cumbersome and should be fixed, especially since you have to pay for both apps in order to be able to sync at all. Please change this!!! The ability to export my data in various formats is a great feature of this app, making it easy to share with my doctor. Much more impressive than showing the doctor on my iPad, because the graph shows clearly where my numbers have been. There is one suggested feature that I love on another the app app, where each and every the app entry field is shaded either red, green or blue, not just the number reading itself. This is a nice visual that shows high, normal and low patterns quite easily. Overall, this is a nice app, just PLEASE fix the way it syncs and transfers data via the the cloud. :)
  • I keep coming back for a reason

    By imthedriver (Pcmac user)

I have been using the app Companion and then this app for iPad since early 2014 and I will say it is an excellent, solid, basic app (and I have tried most of them). While I have explored other options when there are updates that leave me frustrated, I seem to always come back. I like the ease in putting in my information and the clean visual interface and my doctor likes the clear reporting. I would love to see several enhancements that I think could be of benefit. - First, adding a box with an estimated A1c based on the app levels would be enlightening and possibly encourage more accountability. This, along with the ability to add and track actual A1c lab values would give a more complete understanding of diabetes management. - The ability to enter and track ketone values would also be helpful and perhaps even life saving, in the event of keto-acidosis. - Also helpful would be the ability to input long and short acting insulin dosing (not just as a note) and have it be usable information that would correlate with my the app values. A bonus would be if it were graphable so that I can visually see the impact. I appreciate what Maxwell Software has created and look forward to what is to to come! Thank you!!
  • A Very Good App

    By rrh47 (Pcmac user)

This is a very good app! I’ve used it now for three years and very pleased. I’m able to generate reports for my doctor that track my diabetes. Both of us are pleased because the reports enable us to discuss my health & how I’m dealing with diabetes. The company has made recent updates to the app and while some are good a couple have caused me some heartburn. For some reason they have decided to put in a preprogrammed daily meal schedule that takes precedence over what you input CURSES.!,! You have to input what you desire twice to get it done right. Next they have used a min / max to set the limits of the graphs, this then if you have one reading extremely high causes your charts to flatten out so to speak. PLEASE GO BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS!
  • Not better after last update

    By Hsita (Pcmac user)

This app which had been quite accurate, after recent update it messes up the data, changing the day time or activity after I’ve entered the correct one and also the hour. Apparently it has been set to automatically set up the section of day ( before breakfast, or before bed, etc) according to the hour you enter which is not correct as everyone does not have the same hourly schedule. Apart form that it is a very good app that has helped me greatly to control my diabetes. I believe a little tweaking will resolve the issues. Thanks
