What is North America Geography? The North America Geography app is designed to help children learn the names and locations of all the countries and territories in North America. The app is a great complement to the geography materials used in the Montessori classroom and has been tested and proven to be effective by parents, schools, and therapists worldwide.
1. Touch the speaker button to hear the correct pronunciation of the country name and touch the compass button to see the country highlighted on the map! The map itself follows the same color scheme used for the physical materials in the Montessori classroom.
2. In the second puzzle map lesson children have to look for the country puzzle piece that corresponds to the name shown at the top.
3. When the bring the puzzle pieces to the right position they will snap into place and the name of the country is heard aloud.
4. When they touch the correct piece it will move into position on the map and the country name can be heard aloud.
5. In the third puzzle map lesson children can freely drag and place the country pieces to the map.
6. In the first puzzle map lesson children have to look for the country puzzle piece that is blinking on the map.
7. For children who cannot read, the country name at the top can be touched to hear the name aloud for them to know which one to look for.
8. Touch a country in the filmstrip to change the featured country on the page.
