Software Features and Description

1. Whether on the way to work, in the evening or during a city trip, with Call a Bike you can rent a bike cheaply at anytime and anywhere in Germany.

2. Do you want to spontaneously park your bike outside our stations? No problem! With only 1 Euro Flex-Fee you are flexible.

3. In the app, all bikes are displayed on an interactive map and can be rented on site via QR code or by entering the bike number.

4. To return the bike, simply drive to a station and press the lock lever down.

5. With Call a Bike you are always spontaneously and flexibly mobile.

6. Other options within the app: redeem voucher codes, report damage and manage your customer account.

7. Your paused bike is marked red on the map.

8. A total of 13.000 bicycles are available in over 80 cities - including the StadtRÄDER from Hamburg & Lüneburg.

9. You can see the details of your journey and the costs at any time in your bookings.

10. Now you can pause a ride at any time! Simply activate it in the app.

11. Then push the red lever on the lock down.

Download and install the Call a Bike app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .

Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Call a Bike"
The search will reveal the Call a Bike app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Call a Bike is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Call a Bike.
Now enjoy Call a Bike on PC.

Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

Installing Call a Bike:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "Call a Bike" » Click "Install" to install Call a Bike
- Call a Bike will now be available on your windows start-menu.

Considering how well Germany works, this app and company are absolute disgrace. You can't fully register online, if you have an overseas mobile they tell you to phone in, when you phone and they tell you to go online, I've never encountered something so miserably "designed" in Germany.

This app is useless. I successfully signed up and put money in my account only do receive the error "Renting not possible. Please try another bike in a few minutes.". Well I have done that and it still doesn't work. This is a waste of time.
Please english version

I get around fine for basic spotting of bikes and renting. But when reporting an issue it would be really helpful to have it in English.

I signed up for this app this morning and just downloaded this app. I could do the registration in English and got an email confirming my registration in English, but then the website is only in German and - even though it says the app comes in English and Deutsch - I cannot find any way to switch between languages. I would not mind if it was consistently only in Germany - at least I would know that it was not intended for people who do not speak the language - but having English functionality for some parts but not others is more annoying.
