If you want to install and use the Meetup app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Meetup for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Meetup for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Meetup in the search bar and press Search. Click on Meetup application icon. A window of Meetup on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Meetup icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: Meetup for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use Meetup for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Download Andriod, Iphone

Meetup Software Features and Description

Meetup brings people together in thousands of cities to do more of what they want to do in life. It is organized around one simple idea: when we get together and do the things that matter to us, we’re at our best. And that’s what Meetup does. It brings people together to do, explore, teach and learn. For example, people run marathons, thanks to running Meetups. They write, thanks to writing Meetups. They change their careers, thanks to career Meetups. Because at Meetups, people welcome each other. They talk, help, mentor, and support each other – all in pursuit of achieving their life goals. Featured by Apple in “Best New Apps” and “Great Free Apps” Some popular Meetups include: Tech Meetup groups Moms Meetup groups Dads Meetup groups Fitness Meetup groups Hiking Meetup groups Career and Networking Meetup groups Support Meetup groups Book Club Meetup groups Photography Meetup groups New in Town Meetup groups Social Meetup groups Dog Meetup groups Language Meetup groups and 1,000s more Subscription plans: Want to start a new Meetup and become an organizer? • Still lots of bugs

    By Brisonger
Ive new running a Meetup group for te last year and a half. I didn’t use the old app at all because it was a one star, unusable. The new app is more pleasing visually, but is still buggy. Off the top of my head: I cant see new member requests anymore (I get a notification but then just a blank screen) which is essential to managing my group; I just started charging annual dues and apparently people are having problems viewing were to pay on their mobile devices (99% of them only use mobile to rsvp to events), I can’t make someone else a host on mobile version anymore. Sometimes when I set rsvp limits on dates and attendees, the information doesn’t save properly and I have to go back on the desktop to change it again. Photos don’t show up on mobile for te main event representation (so what the heck is the point of spending time to upload it?!). Getting on a desktop to check Meetup only happens once a week, if that, for me. I really need this app to be more versatile and user friendly both as an organizer and for member engagement. If it’s too difficult, people will be less inclined to stick around...
  • NSFW Push Notifications

There are things I love about meetup and also many things about the app that make it confusing to use. I would have rated it a 3 or 4 but recently there has been an uptick of incidences that I believe need to be addressed. This app has now become very nsfw. I am a member of several Queer/LGBTQ tech groups and other queer meetups. None of these meetups revolve around sex or dating. But now, multiple times a day, I get push notifications from some one posting something in the group soliciting sex, or “meeting up” or today’s push: “hey I’m a sub”. They are often deleted quickly afterwards, but the damage is done. There needs to be a moderation requirement for group owners to approve comments before they are posted. Your push notifications are going out to 3,000+ people in some of these instances. I’m not comfortable with these messages showing up on my phone at work or around family. It’s bad and needs to be fixed. For now I’ll turn off push notifications, but the things I like about the app and that remind me to use it are push notifications, so I feel it is a major flaw. Meetup should be concerned about fixing it.
  • Use to be good

When meetup first came about it was great. I’m not sure why they thought they had to make it look so crappy (imo) but whatever they did seems to have made everyone flee. Granted I haven’t used the app in a few years as I met enough individuals and didn’t really need this app anymore. I came back sometime last year and all of my thirty groups were deserted. Went searching for new ones, but that was a bust. I couldn’t navigate the app now and when I clicked on random groups (not what I was searching for) those to had not been active for a few years. Well this was once a great way to meet like minded individuals and meet in a setting one could be comfortable. I would appreciate that again but I guess I’ll look about for something with people on it. I’ve decided to upload the app again as it appeared the developers or someone posted useless info as of a day ago so I assumed perhaps they read some of these feedbacks. As of today 8/8 the app still doesn’t work well. I attempted to sign up, that’s a no go. I pressed log in and tried to press the sign up button there, also a no go. Logged in and still as desolate as ever.
  • Great for travel

    By Frustrated mom-to-be
3 years after becoming a first time mom, MEETUP has jump started my social life again!!! I relocated from NYC to south Florida when I was 8 months pregnant with my little one... needless to say, between being a new mom and moving to city with a MUCH slower pace, my social life pretty much took a deep dive then careened to the floor... when I was ready to start going out again, I had less than a handful of friends in my area who wanted to do the same things and were available at the same time. This led to constant cancellations and a few awkward solo outings. With meetup, I was able to connect with Like-minded women who were doing the kinds of things I liked to do so I could go out without the stress of having to do almost EVERYTHING alone. I also really like that I can send messages to the event hostess in advance if I have questions! Nowadays, I’ve been traveling to different states and I like to use MEETUP to find cool things happening in other places before I go!

More than I expected, the ladies here in SA TX are wonderful, if you are looking for true, genuine heartfelt women than this is the group! We have so much fun and the events will keep you laughing for days. I’ve learned different games and have laughed for hours after, Oh let me not forget to mention the good food that comes with some of the events. Meetup is a great way to organize a group of like minded people. The organization and app are created in a way to secure personal information. After each session, you will he asked if you felt welcomed. I really enjoy the group I found. Thank you!

Really helpful in meeting new people. I just moved cross county and was looking for a way to meet new people outside of work and this definitely helped! There were a lot of groups for young people who had just moved so it was kinda perfect.
