Missing something...

Others have mentioned the ads which I actually don’t have a problem with. It’s easy enough to skip them after a few seconds (you just have to know where to tap). Where this game gives me pause is that any strategy is completely removed by the randomness of not knowing what set is coming next. You’re simply placing blocks and hoping that you’ll get blocks you can use. And, although I haven’t actually counted, there are many runs where it seems like I’m deliberately getting blocks which are the exact opposite of what I’ll need. I agree with others that being able to rotate blocks would increase the level of strategy that seems to be missing from the game.
Great time killer

So I downloaded this game out of sheer boredom and procrastination when I saw an ad for it in another app. I initially assumed it would be another poorly-coded, ad ridden cash grab like a lot of similar games on the App Store, but it actually brings an interesting mechanic to the table that makes it rather fun. Being able to clear whole blocks like sudoku brings an element of strategy and the game seemingly doesn’t just select random pieces it knows you can’t use. Ads aren’t intrusive, however should you choose to remove them I do think the price is quite high.

This is a fairly straightforward game, sort of like Tetris but without the need to move quickly because you can take your time with each piece. I agree with other reviewers that it would be nice if we had the ability to rotate the pieces but it’s fine even as is. I saw that some people raised concerns about having to sit through all the ads, which I was also frustrated with. Someone else may have already shared this, but I discovered that if I play while my phone is in airplane mode then there are no ads and you just move into a new game when a game ends. It seemed obvious after I realized it, but I thought I’d share.

Awesome strategy game. Just when you think you’ve wiped the board, you really haven’t, and just when you think you’re out of moves, you’ll pull a tile that will, in fact, wipe the board. This game is so much more exciting and intense, and you need to be firing on all cylinders to play, than the very similar “wooden blocks”, especially the maneuverable wooden blocks. I easily racked up millions of points in moving wooden blocks that I quickly got bored, however, this app sometimes takes me hours, even days to pull 8-10,000 points (which is the highest Score I ever received). To master the game requires skill, which is exciting because every time you play your level of skill increases, and with some luck from the ‘tile gods’ each game can go on for days, lol. It really is an intense fun game that you can master with play. I’d highly recommend for folks that like a challenge but also want to develop grey matter along the way. 5 stars! R NYC
