✔ Pros:

- Good digital adaptation of the game

- Beautiful graphics

- Functionality is all there

- Tutorial is a good refresher for experienced players and can teach new players

- Ability to hold on your and opponents bag to see cost of cards

☹ Cons:

- Getting logged out of account for online play after requesting a match and the app crashes

- App forces portrait orientation, which is annoying

- Graphic design is poor and there is no way to zoom in on cards or the board

Fun adaptation of the board game

I’ve really enjoyed the cardboard version of this game the few times I’ve played it, but I don’t get to play it often. So it’s great to have an app version now. After playing against the AI on an iPad a dozen times: this version works pretty well. They’ve had to distill the cards and symbols a bit to make it all fit in the screen, which can make it a bit harder to follow at first, but you can always press and hold on a card to see the full thing. The tutorial was a good refresher for me, since I had not played in a while. I would think it’s good enough to teach a new player as well. As far as I can tell, there is only one AI level. It’s decent, with me, an early-intermediate player, winning about half my games. I’m definitely glad I bought it and will enjoy getting to play this great game even when I don’t have a real-life local opponent handy.
Great implementation, a few early bugs

This is a great digital adaptation of this game. It looks beautiful and the functionality is all there. Holding on your and opponents bag to see cost of cards is great. Bugs I have seen (but based on history of this company expect them to be resolved soon): 1. Getting logged out of account for online play after requesting a match and the app crashes, when reopening it says account in use on another device. It has never crashed mid game, only at start. - this seems fixed in the first update 2. Sound from iPhone speaker not working sometimes. 3. Difficult to view effects of science tokens without taking one by mistake. 4. Hints still appearing sometimes after tutorial is done. 5. Progress text banner getting stuck on the screen. 6. Viewing wonders by mistake happens sometimes, often when dismissing the unwanted tutorial button. the app. End scoring chart should have a mark that shows military or science victory. 8. Science tokens of the opponent are upside down.
Where's landscape mode?

Great port but I hate having to hold my iPad in portrait orientation. Fix this per Apple standards for portrait/landscape. What compelling reason is there for a developer to FORCE a particular aspect ratio? It's annoying. This isn't 2011.
Visual Nightmare

The graphic design is awful. No way to zoom in on the cards or the board?! Seriously, Repos?! I can’t play this garbage. Good grief. $5 down the drain. I understand the developer wrote you *can* zoom. Well, the “zoom” is still ridiculously small and there is enough real estate to make it visible to everyone, including those with inferior eyesight like mine. If the developer thinks their zoom is adequate, they’re crazy. Still $5 down the drain. Unplayable for me and graphically, a disaster.
