Install WaiFu2x app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using WaiFu2x on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "WaiFu2x"
- The search will reveal the WaiFu2x app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once WaiFu2x is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including WaiFu2x.
- Now enjoy WaiFu2x on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native WaiFu2x Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:
- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use WaiFu2x,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "WaiFu2x" » then Click "Install".
- WaiFu2x will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Double the Waifu?

Been using the command line version of this app for awhile so I’m happy to see someone put this in a GUI. Completes processing on an image faster than the command line tool but comparing side by side, the qualtiy of the 2x seems to be the same. Two recommendations for the dev. 1: Can you enable drag and drop into the GUI? Instead of having to click Open and find the file, would be nice to drag the file into the window to select it for processing. 2: Would be convenient for default the new image name to the same as the old name but appending something like (this app) or something to differentiate it but so you can also easily tell the image it came from.
Great little app ether way. Just some feedback.
