If you want to install and use the Rise of Civilizations app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Rise of Civilizations for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Rise of Civilizations for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Rise of Civilizations in the search bar and press Search. Click on Rise of Civilizations application icon. A window of Rise of Civilizations on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Rise of Civilizations icon. Click on it and start using the application.

  • Suggestions and constructive Criticism!

I enjoy playing the game, as it has features like the app “DomiNations.” The concept is fantastic and amazing, and would give my appreciations towards the devs. From the graphics, to easy concepts I enjoy, there are things I would suggest which are fixable; and would make the app a much more fun experience. The app needs a system in which bases can be closer to one another rather than spread out, as that is the key concept in games like these. Teamwork is a essential part so being closer to allies and forming hives is a strategy. Another thing which would improve the game is a to reduce the time periods, as I noticed while playing as a new member that right away the 15 seconds go to hours, and there is even 1 month speeds that can be bought! This shows that money is starting to play a role. Brutal age is a great app which allows players to advance even without the use of speeds bought, which is what this game needs. If these two issues are fixed, I would gladly stay t’ill the end. -It would also be amazing if new servers are not made as frequent as that will allow servers to die, and less people to be active in older servers. The limit for people per server should be increased, as more people is much more fun.
  • Surprisingly addictive

I normally hate this type of game. They all seem to be the same. However, I find this one is incredibly addictive. It’s fun to play and you can get lost playing for a long time while you balance out all of the things you’re doing at once. What makes this game different is the easy access to boosters. Normally in games like these you’re stuck waiting for hours for one building to finish. This game actually makes it really easy to earn the boosters that help them along. At least it does at first (I haven’t played this game for very long yet). The one thing that bothers me is that your generals can only gain XP by battling people. I feel like any action they do outside the city should add XP. Gathering is a great example. If your general earned a lower amount of XP for gathering, but still got some, this game would be much better. The leveling system for the generals/heroes is extremely difficult. If they worked on that a bit, the game would improve immensely. There are also appear to be some translation errors. I’m not sure where the developers are from, but there are some broken English sentences every now and then. Overall though, very well done and addictive game.
  • Amazing game but...

    By Bloody Toe
This game is great, it has elements of other games I enjoy playing but feels almost original. I’m really only writing a review to give a suggestion on what should be put in the game. I think you should add some sort of indicator that tells us when someone is online and offline. I know it’s a small detail and we don’t necessarily need it, but it would definitely be helpful when developing our alliances. This is just my opinion and I hope you keep up the good work. 😁👍 Side note: The pay to win crap that everyone is spewing is ridiculous. Sure, you can buy stuff that helps you grow at a faster rate than others but you can easily get there too if you make the right choices. I’m already a level 8 City Hall and I have only been playing for a few days, and guess what, I have not spent a single penny. What I did do, though, is join an alliance with experienced players who, by the way, gave me wonderful tips on how to get where you need to be before you start getting wrecked by stronger players. So developers, again, keep up the good work and don’t let what these guys say bring you down. 😉
  • Great

TBH, this is a great time waster, although it has a few thins I don't like about it, firstly, the space in your city is somewhat small, making it hard to decorate it, unless if your a more ‘competitive’ person then just maximize the space you have. secondly, the chat is kind of funky, unlike other games, it has this ‘iMessage’ kind of feel to it. and lastly, the peace shields are kind of expensive(costs gems, an in-game currency), so much so, I feel more comfortable being vulnerable to attacks rather than spending gems to protect my city for 8 hours. Apart from these, This game is kind of unique, wherein it’s AI pathfinding is better than other games similar to this. It has quite a few factions to choose from, although choose wisely, as you can only pick once for free, if you wish to change your faction, you need to spend 10,000 gems on it. each faction has its own unique style of buildings, E.G. rome: more ‘advanced’ buildings, Japan: wooden. Each faction also has its 1 unique troop, like the roman legionary(called a legion in-game). I recommend that you should build and train regularly, as doing so will allow you to be ahead of some players. All in all, I think its a great game to pass time.

I love this game but it would be cool if we could have alliances outside of our kingdom. But I still love it either way.
  • Pay to win

    By Barenone
So here I am enjoying the game with my clan, we are doing pretty well, one of the strongest around. We have had friendly rivalries and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves..... until. In walks some group from china. Dumped at least a couple thousand i to the game. Maced out on level, troops, in the power area of 25 million while most of the higher players have a couple million. No one can beat them, they just roll over everyone. They haven't collected resources or anything they are purely dumping money in. Now I can understand throwing some money into the game, i have myself. But it is ridiculous that everyone else can be overpowered by someone who does nothing but throw money at it. So what does this accomplish for the company? Sure they get a lot of money short term but it kills the fun of the game for the other players who will leave for more balanced games. So all that is left are the overpowered money dumpers who have no one left to kill so they quit out of boredom. Long term loss for a short term gain. I expect this game will just fall behind like most then the company will probably throw a new skin on it and re release it, rinse and repeat.

    Greatest app ever!
  • Thus game is great but....

    By Deadwing II
I think this game is great especially because you can control your units in battle and real time movement but I think their should be a balance between attacks, a kind of a level cap keeping higher level players in check from the lower level units especially during clan battles.
  • Absolutely amazing!

    By SclongJong
This game is so fun addictive and amazing, anyone saying that it is pay to win is ridiculous while obviously you can pay and get stuff faster the leveling system is absolutely amazing! I’ve spent exactly 1$ and got the commander the only problem I have is it is next to impossible to upgrade a legendary commander’s star power especially the one that comes with purchases which could be fixed besides that Amazing game keep up the work!
  • Good but one thing

    By VolcanicFlare
Very good It’s like clash of clans but open world! Just one thing though. Trees. It’s very annoying when your about to build a fortress it then trees GROW out of no where! Please make it so that you can cut down the outside trees
  • So glad I got

This game is great in ever way I love it so muc!
  • Great game, 100% Recommend

    By Hottienottie
This game is pretty cool. Although it’s a bit pay to win, it’s fine. All the quests you do and everything it makes up for it. Why 4 stars? I have a few buddies who play this game and they are in a completely different kingdom and we want to start an alliance but can’t because I can’t seem to teleport to there kingdom. Game menus are a bit confusing, but easy to learn. So yeah, I’d 100% recommend this game for anyone who’s looking for a new unique strategy. I feel like the same people whom made Game of War made this game as it feels kind of the same ish.
  • One of the few good games

    By TattooTaylor
This game had me wary at the start because it was so fun but I was waiting for that free to play fun drop off experienced by nearly 100% of these games. This game was refreshingly different. You can have loads of fun playing without spending money.
