If you want to install and use the Rise of Civilizations app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Rise of Civilizations in the search bar and press Search. Click on Rise of Civilizations application icon. A window of Rise of Civilizations on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Download on Andriod, Iphone
Free On iTunes

Thank you for reading this tutorial. Have a nice day!

  • Really great game, but not complete

    By DJWicki
Ok, so let me start out that I absolutely love the game. The game mechanics are amazing, I love the fog of war idea, and the fact that each commander speaks their native language and not English. And as a Roman and Byzantium history nerd, I love the fact that the Latin in the game is quite decent compared to other games (it isn’t perfect, but that is what you get from a dead language that doesn’t translate well into other languages). Now, I feel like the nations to choose from is very limiting. From a game about the ancient and medieval ages, Africa and the Middle East were left out, and they have some of the richest history during that time, from the African Empires that rose to power all the way to the Persian empire and the crusades. Specifically, I would like to see three more nations added: Ethiopia, Egypt, and Persia. Ethiopia rose to power after the fall of the Roman Empire and remained a powerful nation until after WW2. Persia created a very advanced civilization that grew strong and powerful and became one of the largest empires until the greeks conquered it. Then the Persian Empire reformed itself as the Sassanian Empire and conquered the remaining Romans and Byzantines to form the Ottoman Empire. I do not know much on the history of Egypt, but as one of the first powerful civilizations in human history, it should be obvious why they should be added into the game.

I enjoy playing the game, as it has features like the app “DomiNations.” The concept is fantastic and amazing, and would give my appreciations towards the devs. From the graphics, to easy concepts I enjoy, there are things I would suggest which are fixable; and would make the app a much more fun experience. The app needs a system in which bases can be closer to one another rather than spread out, as that is the key concept in games like these. Teamwork is a essential part so being closer to allies and forming hives is a strategy. Another thing which would improve the game is a to reduce the time periods, as I noticed while playing as a new member that right away the 15 seconds go to hours, and there is even 1 month speeds that can be bought! This shows that money is starting to play a role. Brutal age is a great app which allows players to advance even without the use of speeds bought, which is what this game needs. If these two issues are fixed, I would gladly stay t’ill the end. -It would also be amazing if new servers are not made as frequent as that will allow servers to die, and less people to be active in older servers. The limit for people per server should be increased, as more people is much more fun.

This game is the best I’ve played. Not because of graphics or small things that surely will be improved in the future. Because of the base of active players and how serious this game is taken. It takes you to another level, you will find friendship and camaraderie, it involves high levels of strategy, and truly gives a place for leaders to be born. It is a whole other world that Will envelope you and your time. If you don’t have several hours a day to dedicate to the teamwork involved, you will likely not succeed and become part of the bigger picture. I love the game mechanics, however I would say there are some downfalls. Things are so expensive that, the ones with big pockets are the ones that succeed best. You will see a mix of power players, those who are not wise and strategic who only succeed from the money spent, and those who dedicate completely to the game and put effort and hard work in rather than their wallets. I wish that we would get more for the money when making purchases. I also wish that members can share items and gems with other members, maybe make it only so leaders and officers can share, this way the leadership of the alliance truly picks the members up.
  • Most Honest Review

Ok, so at first though the first 30 or so days the game is pure fun and addicting.. but let me warn you that this game is the most pay to win I have ever seen. To get anywhere in this game money must be spent, and a bunch of it. There are many cash cows who end up spending $5000+ and dominate the server. There is no end game at the moment, everyone is waiting for Kingdom vs Kingdom on the older servers which makes everyone jump to newer kingdoms to find fun again. To get the most fun out of the game I recommend playing on new server, taking part in early turf war battles and then once the wars die down make another account on newest server and repeat process. After day 40 or so the game becomes a farm fest and it is incredibly boring. Tech researches can get up into the 2 month+ range to complete, and by then people have spent thousands to make you weak even after the research ends. Anyways, to put it in perspective I spent probably $500 on my account and got 6,000,000 power, and there are multiple guys that are 40,000,000 on my server when I started day 1 on my Kingdom. I’d recommend trying it and don’t spend any money on your first account.. learn the game and what works then create a second account once you know what you’re doing. Cheers.

  • Could be better!

    By cvick12
The game is really cool although it could be better. First Real money shouldn’t be involved it makes the game completely unfair for people that are trying to play a free game. If you are not willing to pay real money in this game you will never be able to successfully compete with those that do. Also they are missing two of the most important ancient civilizations ever! Egypt being one of the first actual civilizations. and Greece shaped the whole western world from language to democracy to academics, the base of every single subject we learn today from math to science to philosophy is Greek! Not to mention some of the most amazing commanders the world has ever seen... obviously whoever worked on and invented this game didn’t actually too much about history.. you can check yourself that all the commander information is straight copy and pasted from Wikipedia lol.

  • Amazing but...

    By Happybookreader
I’m leaving a low star with hopes the developers will read it. This game is super fun and easy to learn the mechanics of it all. That said, after about a month of play reality if the game has set in. The level of real politic that happens in this game is unreal. My alliance was infiltrated by a high level governor from another alliance and made leader because he seemed he knew what he was doing. Long story short, in about a week I found out he is basically working as an operative for another alliance using two account to sow discontent and pull players out of my alliance to a more powerful alliance. So now we have a player who basically threatens all the players in our alliance that his main alliance will destroy us we don’t play ball, not cool. We can’t get rid of him and he basically has complete control now. I have no doubt that this is going on everywhere in the game in every server. I doubt they will, but I would like to hope the developers would find a way to deal with this. Additionally after you get above 13th level the amount of time goes way up. And those at the top levels and power are likely spending massive amounts of real money to get there. If you are at a lower level, or play casually, this game will quickly become a nightmare.

Great until you have to contact support and they don’t answer! I’ll be requesting a refund for the money I put into this game since support is nonexistent.

Hi, this is a great game and has a powerful server, but for this fantastic game it's not possible to transfer an account from ios to Android. There is a big weakness. Thank you.
  • A fun game BUT disappointing

    By isabeldt
This game is fun, it’s pretty, it’s entertaining but it lacks many important things. Like a good end goal. Also at first you can play without buying anything and they offer you packages at very low prices. Once you start growing, everything becomes very hard to achieve like training, leveling up, research, building, heros, etc. Unless you spend a lot of money. As you go up the game requires a lot more of everything and if you want to have high power you have to spend a lot. The game has a very short life span. I’m very disappointed, I joined just 45 days ago, I’ve spent thousands of dollars in upgrading my city and my heros and the game is almost at the end in the server where I am. The developers did not think carefully about creating a long term game. They have changed three times the talents and skills of the heros. The game lags a lot too. And worst of all, they allow players with low power to change servers which causes groups of players to move to a new server with power already and grow faster than new players, very quickly taking control of the server. The game requires the player to pay millions in resources each time you want to go up a level, or heal, or train, or practically do anything once you start getting passed the lower levels, i don’t see how it is possible to play it without spending some serious money. An example is the research, as soon as you get to high level military research one level can take you 137 days to complete, the game doesn’t even last that long in one server, you can only get to that level by buying speed ups of course and A LOT of them. For example a 30 day speed up can cost $60. The high level military research has many many levels, you do the math. The worst is that after all the money that players could spend, the game gets to the end and in my case the end is facing a monopoly of top two alliances that moved from another server with some power already so the new players cant never catch up with them and they now control the server. Why didn’t the developers think of this flaw in the game? It’s not a fair game because players with some power can start in a new server and control that server. The game levels are only three gates levels that alliances have to control and pass and then you got to the middle, really? That’s it. Why not make many levels of passes so that at least the players can have a longer game play? I don’t mind paying to play and I pay a lot usually but I do not like it when I feel the game company is taking too much and not giving back to the player enough. Isabel

This game is perfect...except one stupid thing. A few hours ago I had about 60,000 power and lost about 10,000 and now have 49,000 power. I am really mad because of this. That power isn’t easy to get.PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
