What is Piano Sight-Reading Trainer? ABRSM Sight-Reading Trainer is an app designed to improve sight-reading skills for Piano Grades 1 to 5. It contains 155 specially composed pieces of sight-reading that need to be unlocked through a series of games. The app also provides 30 seconds of preparation time to help users prepare for their exams.
1. Each piece is preceded by a series of games designed to improve your ability to spot the features, patterns and characteristics of the music before you play it.
2. Pitch Patterns - focus on a small section of the music and answer questions about pitches, patterns, fingering and keyboard geography.
3. Strong sight-reading skills empower musicians to communicate with one another through the language of music, as well as learn new pieces quickly and accurately.
4. Quick Fire Five and What’s the Difference - study the whole piece and answer a series of questions about it.
5. Rhythm Match - hear rhythms from the piece of Sight-Reading and identify the corresponding notation.
6. ABRSM Sight-Reading Trainer contains 155 brand new specially composed pieces of sight-reading for Piano Grades 1 to 5.
