  • Use web browser instead

    By Tbellz (Pcmac user)

This app is clunky and looks like parts of the web page were just exported for a quick project to say they “have an app!” Can’t click BACK from any screen which means if I want to change any part of my search I have to start from scratch. Having to go to a collapsible menu for everything is really annoying! And the map is not interactive, meaning if it shows me which buses serve a stop I can’t select one to see that schedule. Also the “find me” doesn’t always work even when I have all the permissions and settings correct on my phone. Also, I can’t save my routes or stops for easy access later so I again I have to start from scratch every single time. Super annoying!!
  • Beware! Purchase only on device you will use when riding!

    By SuzyQ924 (Pcmac user)

I downloaded the app and purchased State Fair Express tickets (only time we use this app) while working on my iPad. When I went to my phone later, installed the app, and logged in, my tickets were not there. They are only available on the device from which you made your purchase. Since I’m certainly not going to carry my iPad around the fair, I’m out $10 because I had to purchase tickets again on my phone. Also, don’t be proactive and activate your State Fair Express tickets the evening before you go. Once activated, they expire at 2:00 a.m. Could really use better instructions for using the app. I liked it much better when you could order without an app and have the tickets sent to your phone in advance.
  • Limited Functionality

By Outlook Desktop User (Pcmac user)

This app allows you to pay for passes on the go, which is nice. And you can store payment info, so you don’t have to purchase in advance if you don’t want. I live in central Minnesota and only use this app occasionally. Usually when traveling into town for a conference or meeting. Nonetheless, I have certain spots I travel to/from regularly. But you can’t save these spots in the app. That’s ridiculous. Also, once you enter your trip info, you can’t alternate between map view and trip details. So if you look at the map, you’ll lose details on which bus you’re taking next. Absurd. This sort of UI isn’t that difficult to create. I don’t care, charge a minimal fee to use the app. But at least make it work!
  • Needs Work: Account linking, Access, and trip planning

    By MotardNerd (Pcmac user)

Need to be able to use Go-To Cards purchased with my account for paying fares through the app. If the app is being marketed as “Forgot your Go-To Card but never fear because you’ve always got your phone with you” then the app should effectively function as “all payment types”, including any cards, passes, or balances available in my account at the time. Also, the account details are sparse. For example, if I’m logged into the app with my this app credentials and want to check balances on my Go-To Cards why do I need to enter their serial numbers? They are already registered and linked to my account. Needs TouchID, or at the very least, PIN access. My passwords are long and complex and having to enter it so frequently (even when simply copying from a password vault) is cumbersome and annoying. Trip planning still lacks some polish. I never get A Line results, presumably because the nearest stop is about 7 blocks from my house. However, I don’t mind walking that far and would like to see A Line results alongside other options. Thank you.
