If you want to install and use the Google Allo app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Google Allo for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Google Allo for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Google Allo in the search bar and press Search. Click on Google Allo application icon. A window of Google Allo on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Google Allo icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: Google Allo for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use Google Allo for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

  • Performs great but is redunant

Good interface. Google assistant works well in the app and is very useful. The app is perfectly designed, fast and reliable. would be more convenient if this app was more optimized for ipad. Also, it would be great if Google duo and Google allo were combined into one app. Its confusing for users and is redunant since google also offers hangouts, which has messaging and video calling too. But google allo is diffefent in that it is not centered towards google accounts and rather uses a users phone number but also has the option to connect the nunber with a google account. It all comes down to which app users use most. I for one think google allo and google duo is overall better than hangouts but these two apps face competition from Hangouts which is more widely used.
  • Eliminates freedoms turns your phone over to the police

    By Guy 528
This app makes all of your texts, photos, voice memos and current location available to the police, 171 cases occurred where people used this app to sell drugs and marijuana and this app scans for words like “sell” “drugs” “weed” “police” and even words like “dome” “pyramid” “hollow” “eye” and “Antarctica” for some reason, it finds these words and sends all of your messages to law enforcement along with your current location and everything on your phone that you have the app access to, if your on the app, they can listen to you three your microphone, this app even got 4 people in prison for the rest of there life for growing marijuana, no one even wants it to be illegal but the government wants you sick and in pain so the pharmaceutical corporations get more money. The government just uses the police as pawns in there game of “who can steal the most money and kill off the most people” makes me sick.
  • Amazing app but there is one thing

    By hdkrjrbr
The app is really useful and will even say it is better than iMessage if everyone was on it because there is this really cool gif feature what it does is when you are texting you can search for different gifs instead of having to download them. My family, friends and I would send random gifs to each other that are really funny. It even has a bitmoji feature where you can take a picture or customize your own little character so it creates stickers for you to use that kid of look like you. The only reason this app isn’t five stars for me is that it isn’t universal meaning you can’t just text a random phone number.
  • Too many bugs

    By johnlenin1
Allo’s performance with images is woeful. Images in chats often appear in a low-resolution format only and won’t download the full-resolution version. Other times the thumbnail in the chat is full-resolution but when you tap to see the full-sized image all that appears is a black box. When you enter the app, it stops any music or radio stream you might have been listening to, even if you haven’t tapped on a video clip to play. More troubling, even though I have background app refresh turned off for this app, the battery usage screen in the Settings app shows that Allo has used 8% of my battery over the last 7 days, *with 8 hours in the background vs. 55 minutes on screen*. I’ve toggled the settings off and on and reinstalled the app, and it made no difference on my iPhone X. In addition, I have notification sounds turned off, yet there is an audible noise each time a message is received, whether the phone is locked or not, whether the app is in the background or not. The predictive text is good for a laugh, but I doubt that was the developer’s goal. The only positive thing I can say about the app is that the near constant crashes I used to suffer through seem to have stopped finally.

  • Not working right

    By MzAJC
App is supposed to work over WiFi connection but it’s not. Only starts working when I get back connected to my service provider connection.
  • My favorite communication app

    By ImNotPancakes
I work on cruise ships and we get charged more than guests for Wi-Fi. This app works on the Wi-Fi network without having to pay. All of us on ships have downloaded the app to easily communicate with each other. I have also made my family back home get this app so I can keep them up to date on my travels and let them know I'm safe. I was sad to hear Google was giving up on allo, but I hope they don't remove the app completely.
