If you want to install and use the TalkingParents app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use TalkingParents for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: TalkingParents for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type TalkingParents in the search bar and press Search. Click on TalkingParents application icon. A window of TalkingParents on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the TalkingParents icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: TalkingParents for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use TalkingParents for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

This helps the ex-wife and I to talk in a civilized manner. I like that I can she when she read a message, this way I know if she got it and is just mulling things over or whatever. I would like to have a little flexibility to change color or look of the app. Also, I’m not sure this app have the same level or quality of encryption as WhatsApp or messenger. The last thing I would like is for the app to sound when I do get a message. I don’t like that the only notification is the window I have on my screen or the number next to the app. If my sons mother is trying to send me a massage that my kid is sick, I want to know now. Not at some random point I look at my phone and see a notification.
  • This app is blah!

Looked up this company as a referral from my Family Law Attorney to be able to communicate with the Father of my children. The service online is free unless you need something in much more detail then then there’s a fee. The downloadable app only works if you pay a Monthly subscription fee of $5.00. Now I now it’s only $5.00 but if it’s supposed to be a free then it should be I myself only use it to text/email you can’t attach any pictures and you can’t make phone calls through the app. So in reality you’re just better off using regular text or email or just down load a free txt app that also keeps track of any messages between parties. It’s hard enough to be a single parent trying to raise two kids.

This app is amazing! Before this form of communication my co-parenting relationship with the other party was extremely aggressive, stressful, and emotionally draining. Those emotions no longer exist and we each live peaceful lives. This form of communication assisted the other party and myself on how to properly communicate, in order to have a successful co-patenting relationship. We solely communicate about our child and the app organizes all communication. I have the monthly premium account and it’s the best $5 I could spend! Thank you.

This app got me off the hamster wheel I’d been running on with my Ex through our 18 month super dysfunctional custody case of trying to keep track of all the different texts and emails he’d send saying one thing in one thread and another thing in other threads, ignoring me,deleting the threads I tried taking to trial & the list goes on. Using this service solves ALL those issues and more. It’s AMAZING, it’s the solution I so badly needed, it’s affordable & it’s easy to use. THANK YOU. Thank you SO FREAKING MUCH.

  • Limited functionality to submit Payne to other parent

Paid for the upgraded version of TalkingParents and it doesn’t seem to have a way to submit payments or track payments to or from the other parent. For parents who have 50/50 payment responsibilities.

  • UPDATE: After 1 Year Use

I have been a Premium user for one year and it’s been buggy on every update since. If I could just write the code for you guys I definitely would. Sounds harsh, but it really isn’t when you consider the paying consumer and a business that can’t provide a simple and intuitive approach to communication via mobile technology for at least the past 12 months.
  • What happened to the sign in / sign out record???

The communications records used to have a sign in and sign out record but it’s gone now. I think it’s pretty important especially if you have a deadbeat dad who’s supposed to be video chatting with their kid twice a week per court order and all of a sudden skips the chats for 8 months straight. I’m sure the courts would like to know why he hasn’t communicated with me as to why he hasn’t called our son.

Sure would be great if they fixed the app to give you the text notifications like before the last fix.

This app is disappointing on so many levels one in particular they charge you monthly to use the app! There’s no reason I should be charged every month just to use this app when it’s very dated
