How to download and install TalkingParents on your Laptop or Desktop computer

4.5 Rating: 4.5 - 2,711 votes

If you want to install and use the TalkingParents app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use TalkingParents for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: TalkingParents for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type TalkingParents in the search bar and press Search. Click on TalkingParents application icon. A window of TalkingParents on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the TalkingParents icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: TalkingParents for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use TalkingParents for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

App doesn’t notify. Times sent and read and 4 hours off.
  • Horrible app

This is the worst social media app I have ever used. It makes me put my Apple ID and PW in every single time I use it. Super annoying and inconvenient, especially when you’re trying to communicate parent to parent about a child, and messages keep popping up to log in. Also it send alerts when the message has been read. Just send me alerts once I have a message. Hate this app.
  • Like the court system isn’t expensive enough

Family court just got more expensive. Charging parents to communicate and they paying thousands in attorney fees. Shame on the public system and the creators of this app.

This helps the ex-wife and I to talk in a civilized manner. I like that I can she when she read a message, this way I know if she got it and is just mulling things over or whatever. I would like to have a little flexibility to change color or look of the app. Also, I’m not sure this app have the same level or quality of encryption as WhatsApp or messenger. The last thing I would like is for the app to sound when I do get a message. I don’t like that the only notification is the window I have on my screen or the number next to the app. If my sons mother is trying to send me a massage that my kid is sick, I want to know now. Not at some random point I look at my phone and see a notification.

This app is amazing! Before this form of communication my co-parenting relationship with the other party was extremely aggressive, stressful, and emotionally draining. Those emotions no longer exist and we each live peaceful lives. This form of communication assisted the other party and myself on how to properly communicate, in order to have a successful co-patenting relationship. We solely communicate about our child and the app organizes all communication. I have the monthly premium account and it’s the best $5 I could spend! Thank you.

I need to cancel my membership. It is not intuitive on how to do this. Please cancel it for me so I’m not charged again. Not sure why you can’t do it right in the app.
  • Premium is worse than message iPhone 1

They make money off people who NEED to use this app for court. And it’s wonky. You have to manually refresh messages. And confusing if you have a new message or not.

This app got me off the hamster wheel I’d been running on with my Ex through our 18 month super dysfunctional custody case of trying to keep track of all the different texts and emails he’d send saying one thing in one thread and another thing in other threads, ignoring me,deleting the threads I tried taking to trial & the list goes on. Using this service solves ALL those issues and more. It’s AMAZING, it’s the solution I so badly needed, it’s affordable & it’s easy to use. THANK YOU. Thank you SO FREAKING MUCH.
