  • Horrible app. Don't bother.

    By CSM (Pcmac user)

The print edition is supposed to allow a reader to browse in a daily newspaper format. Doesn't work at all. In fact, it says that the page is broken - and that's it. On the edition section, you can see the daily newspapers, by date (if this worked, it would be great), but when you click on the day you want, the broken page notification comes back up. I've been trying for three days. My mother has macular degeneration and is having trouble reading the Abilene the app-News (she's been a subscriber for years and years). Her specialist suggested that she get a reader that is backlit. She has an ipad, BUT she sure can't use it for the print edition because it just doesn't work. So, I went back to the regular Abilene the app-News App (there are two apps). I went in through that app and clicked on the e-edition. AND got caught is a loop that goes nowhere. It says welcome to my mom, please enter your password - did that, but then it says to enter her zip code and phone number, so they can sync all accounts. THEN a message comes up and says, this information is already linked to an account. HUH???? AND I can't get any further - it doesn't take me to the "already synced" account, and I have no way to get there. SO, I went to the APP on iTunes and clicked on "APP support" on that App..IT TAKES ME BACK TO THE Abilene the app-News App browser. WHAT??? SPLAT!!!! UNBELIEVABLE...
