If you want to install and use the Reddit: Trending News app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Reddit: Trending News for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Reddit: Trending News for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Reddit: Trending News in the search bar and press Search. Click on Reddit: Trending News application icon. A window of Reddit: Trending News on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Reddit: Trending News icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: Reddit: Trending News for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use Reddit: Trending News for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

  • Great app, but terrible new font

    By themhs
This is one of the few apps I love and use several times daily. I have this app since I started using Reddit, around a year ago. Reddit was a whole new experience for me, with the best content from the web, and discussions to go along with it. Since then, I have used the app for news on my favorite topics/interests, viewing fascinating and informative images/videos, and whatnot. The app itself is quite responsive and easy to use. Navigating is a breeze, and the layout is clean. However, upon opening the app tonight, I noticed something was different with the text. It was only when I opened the App Store that I realized the font had been changed. With this update, the font has been changed from San Francisco (the default for iOS/macOS) to a new font. As people have pointed out in reviews, the new font severely impacts readability and affects the whole app in a negative way. The previous font was perfect, and I don't know why it had to be replaced with a new font that makes reading text much harder. Seriously. If anyone involved is reading this, please revert to the old, default font (San Francisco). Alternatively, you could provide the option to choose from different fonts in the app. Remember, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  • I don’t want to use your app

    By waytogomeggo1993
I don’t want to use this app. I use Apollo because it’s more well designed and I prefer it in every way. Unfortunately, I used to use Alien Blue until Reddit took it over and shoved it’s annoying features in and essentially broke the previously well-bridged gap between users and developers. Apollo came along and solved that problem for me. I decided to rate this poorly because, besides the fact that I hate the mechanics and design of the app, I’m sick of the many shoehorned aspects of mobile browser Reddit forcing me into the app. I have to go through several steps to use it normally and ultimately I can’t view most comments without having to copy a link and move it to Apollo since Reddit decided to force users into their own app as the default. Crippling competing developers to promote your own app is obnoxious, obtrusive ads and constant “will you rate your experience?” prompts are obnoxious, and frankly the way Reddit approached the official app launch alongside breaking Alien Blue and then shoehorning the official app onto users has driven me to never choose the official app at all, even if it underwent a total overhaul. I really don’t care what Reddit does with the official app at this point, because shoving it down the throats of users tells me the app and its developers should not be supported. Very annoying app 0/10 I hate it.

Before I get into the review I'd just like to point out that all that follows is my opinion and that any domain with public access, especially on the internet, is going to have some bad eggs and some 'flaws' (circle jerks for example). That being said, if you can get past what is to be expected of the internet, Reddit is a haven of free speech and the sharing of ideas, it is a source of endless interaction with others around the world. Reddit is an underrated entertainer, a place where art is shared and artists can make a name for themselves. Reddit is a trusted source for reviews and information ranging from the mundane to the extreme, and from personal to fantastic. I've come to rely on Reddit when deciding if something (such as a game) is worth buying or whenever I have burning questions regarding any kind of lore I'm interested with at the time and it hasn't failed me yet. I was using Reddit years before I made an account and I'd recommend it to anyone. Thank you for reading! TLDR: "Reddit is a haven of free speech and the sharing of ideas"
  • Install Reddit, Delete Facebook ASAP

    By Slippery_Barnacle
Ever since my buddy introduced me to Reddit, I have dropped Facebook and majority Social Media apps entirely. Reddit is literally everything I want/need in an app. News, Gifs, videos, etc. I've loved it since I first downloaded it and haven't looked back. I'm just kicking myself for not finding it sooner. Who needs Facebook and all the other apps when you have Reddit? No more looking at what "Cheryl" ate for lunch or "Tim's" 400th picture of his kid speaking gibberish, that is unless I choose to follow a subreddit dedicated to such things. My only complaint is the doing away with certain subs that are deemed "NSFW", I agree with banning the "Hate" dedicated subs, but other than that adults should be able to follow subs that are deemed "NSFW". Overall, an amazing app that I can't get enough of, and I am thankful to be rid of FB and the other Social Media sites that seem to be dedicated to validation/approval seeking. I would and frequently do, recommend Reddit to everyone as an app they should get into and to thank me later lol!

I love reddit I use it for info and dialogue on everything from news to music to video games. Recently I had an account hacked and stolen from me but the reddit support team was quick to verify and fix the issue. Reddit is a solid website, the mobile app is gorgeous with constant updates and the community is fun.
  • Great app

    By Gual-1234
This app is one of the more underaged under rated and over leveraged apps on the whole market index. The thing is, I'm hoping to get more involved through resume building. Best, Mike Gualt
